Harmon family in Sheridan Oregon

I have your edits for the Harmon family in Sheridan Masonic Cemetery. Can you please cite your sources? I looked on ancestry and not everything lines up exactly right. For example, the public tree containing Nancy has her listed in a census after her death, and the marriage record is to another man. I think you're right, but I like to go back to source records before linking people.

RE: Re: Erick Kangas
Thank you for adding his Finnish name to the bio section. Immigration officials often mandated (or strongly suggested) a change of surname for immigrants of all different nationalities. You no doubt already know that, but what I have seen other people do FOR MEN is to put the original name in the "Maiden Name" part of the form. I'm not asking you to do this, but I believe the term "Maiden Name" is quite sexist and is more appropriately used in a general way for birth name, regarding of gender, for these types of cases. Just food for thought...

Adding a name of a living relative
Hi, I'm sorry. I don't know how this site works. I just saw that her oldest son wasn't listed and thought it was an oversite.
How do you get your information? I was surprised
you had our Uncle on here so quickly. Are you a relative? Is there t place I can look to discover how this site works? I pulled up several of my family that had passed and none of them were listed but several of my husband's were.

Transfer & thank you
Hello Bonnie,
Thank you for your generosity in transferring:
Alexander Watt # 162592023
to my care.
With your help, I have successfully connected him with his parents, siblings, wife and three children.
As I receive more information, I will be adding to Our shared memorial.
With sincerest appreciation,
# 47059326

RE: Herbert Caywood
Thank you. I did hunt for an obit but didn't yet find one in digitized papers. It does pay to cite sources when a person has lots of memorials!

The level of detail--names of parents, death in logging camp, etc.--made me think the document was legit. Perhaps a the Oregon entry is due to a copy being filed to validate some title transfer to property there.

Hi Bonnie

I live in east San Diego County and doing research on some of the old businesses along Highway 80. Do you happen to know what year Harold Tatreau built the Crestwood Motel? Anything else you might know about the motel would also be helpful.

Thank you,
