I am researching my own family as well as documenting cemeteries. I feel it is important to photograph stones before they are forever lost to time. |
Please do not take offense if I add a different photo to a memorial page. Maybe the photo I took gives a different perspective due to time of year, lighting, etc. Of course, I welcome any additional photos and/or editions to memorials I have created.
Photo Use: If I took the gravestone photo, feel free to use it. Please do not use personal family photos without my permission.
Edits: Use the Edit button on the memorial page for additions/corrections. Do not use personal email for edits unless absolutely necessary.

P.S. I just want to give a special thank you to all the people who volunteer to take photo requests. Many times it is impossible to see a grave in person and your photo is the next best thing. Many thanks for your time. Paying it forward!

HAPPY SATURDAY !!!
I am trying to locate ALL of the VETs in Mt Hope. Is Tom Mills a Vet or SAL ?
If you have Veteran info on any one else interred, I would appreciate it.

Kimberly, I attached another photo to this memorial that shows a little more clearly that the year of death was 1885. Some sources say he actually died in September rather than October of that year but I have not found the death certificate to verify. Census records do show that he was alive in 1880.

I entered all of these names from a 1939 WPA listing of gravestones existing at that time. Since then Cathedral cemetery has put its burials online at:
It looks like the ones not in 1D are in 5A WP/WS lot 89
Kimberly, thank you for that tip I fixed it.

You posted the same photo twice to this memorial (Gladys Wolhar), and it may not be the photo you intended as the name is different. Or maybe her name was on a different side of the marker and you intended to post a different photo with it. You posted a spelling correction of her name, so I assume you have a picture of her marker that you had intended to post.

You are so gracious with all the requests...don't let anyone derail your good intentions.

Do you have a higher resolution photo of this grave that you could post? Or could you include in the memorial exactly what it says on the stone? I can't read it and I'm trying to figure out if she is am ancestor. Thank you so much for all you do for Findagrave!

In case you have more markers in Cyrillic to translate, here is how I worked out the name for #67576148. First use
to type in what you see, then copy that to
Then you can paste the result to Google translate.
