I am hooked on genealogy and finding my ancestors final resting places. We have tromped through many very old cemeteries across the country in our search.
We have been lucky enough to have had some amazing things happen during our research travels. We have had completely unexpected help from some wonderful people, some we happpily found were related and of course we have had lots of devine intervention and guidance when least expected.
Find A Grave allows me to permanently record my findings so that I can share with others who might also be searching for the same families. Please feel free to contact me if you find we are related.
Find A Grave gives me a way to "Pay it Forward" by helping others find their families resting place. My hope is that maybe some of you that I help will in turn "Pay it forward" by helping others.
AGAIN, ALL PHOTOS ARE COPYRIGHTED SO PLEASE CONTACT ME FOR PERMISSION TO COPY AND USE.

|Shawn Blankenship||My family.|
You are working on some of my family.
Moses Hedrick would be like my 5th great grandfather.
|Patricia Schmitt||William Paxton Sr|
I would like permission to copy the photo of his tombstone into Ancestry. I too am a Paxton descendant and am trying to locate my line. I have a DNA match with Elizabeth Paxton b. 1806 in Rockbridge, VA. I can only trace my line to my ggg grandfather, David Paxton, b. 1828 in PA or MD, d. 1916 in Belmont Co, OH. I have found many David's but none turn out to be mine.

|Bruce Bearg||Wilbur W Hahn name|
Anna Maria Koutnik daughter of Vaclav Koutnik and Maria Reynek
Anna Maria Koutnik is my 1st cousin 1x removed, Vaclav Koutnik is my Grand Uncle
Iím Bruce Ralph Bearg son of Viola Koutnik Bearg
Viola Koutnik Bearg is the daughter of Joseph Koutnik and Kamilla Kamensky
Vaclav Koutnik and Joseph Koutnik were brothers
Anna Maria Koutnik 1900 census, living with mother Mary Koutnik (Maria Reynek Koutnik) and Maryís younger brother Frank in Linwood, NE, Maryís brother-in-law Joseph Koutnik my Grandfather and his first wife Anna Stava also lived in Linwood. And are listed just below Mary.
Anna Maria Koutnik in 1910 census is living with her stepfather in Union, Dodge County, NE, both parents deceased, father 1900, mother 1906.
Anna Maria Koutnik and a Mr Beranek (so far havenít been able to find anything of Mr Beranek) had a child named Wilbur W Beranek age 5, this information is from a 1920 US Census for David City, NE, she and her son are listed as lodgers and she is divorced working at a department store as a saleslady.
Anna Maria Koutnik Beranek and Herman J Hahn of Rising City, NE were married Sept 27, 1921 in Council Bluffs, Iowa, this information if from Marriages in Pottawattamie County, Iowa. It has that this is Hermanís first marriage and that Anna had been married once before, this is where the name Beranek comes from.
Going forward to the 1930 census of David City, NE, the family of Herman Hahn is listed all as Hahnís, wife Anna, sons Wilbur age 16 and Richard age 7. This to me means one of two things either Wilbur was adopted by Herman or whoever gave the family information to the census collector included him with the Hahn name?

Thomas Paxton b: Abt 1720 in Erin,,,Ireland
Mary Paxton b: in Northern Ireland
Samuel PAXTON b: 11 JUL 1748
Nothing is known of the early life of Thomas Paxton, nor of the circumstances of his first marriage. He came from Pennsylvania about 1747, and setteld on North River, at the mouth of Buffalo Creek. Hence he was distinguished from his cousins, of the same name, as "Buffalo" Thomas Paxton.
He kept a boat yard, and had flour and saw mills. He was also a thrifty farmer, and acquired wealth and infulence. Presbyterian in faith, he was an elder in the old Falling Springs church. (from page 139 by John D. Paxton) My grandfather, Thomas and his brother William were ruling elders of the Falling Spring Presbyterian Church before the time of the American war. After the death of my grandfather, my father succeeded as ruling elder of the same congregation. Thomas was buried at the old Falling Springs cemetery and there his dust reposes. His epitaph is but his name and dates: "Here lies the interred body of Thomas Paxton, who departed this life Sept. 27, 1788, aged 69 years." His first wife lies at his side
