Bio and Links
Bio Photo Many thanks to everyone who sends additions and corrections to the memorials we manage and who have left flowers/tokens.

Please do not post images of the death certificate to memorials. That information should be transcribed in the biography field as it is not searchable as a scanned image and it also takes up a picture slot that could be better used for actual images of headstones and or family photographs.

CORRECTIONS and EDITS
Please use the new edit system. It's faster, easier and subject to fewer mistakes. When submitting links to parents/spouses make sure the final disposition is known.

Please note--we do not link to burial unknown records. However, we will add information to the biography field if submitted to us.

Hi. You have the wrong parents linked to her memorial. She was the daughter of Albion Throckmorton and Mildred Washington. Mildred married Mordecai after Abion died. Please see the the picture I uploaded to the memorial. Thanks for all you do.

William H. Fightmaster: FAG Memorial# 116033463

Dear Mary & Kent:

First, my thanks for the nice memorials you created for William (supra) and his wife Harriett which you have connected to him.

The identity of this couple might very well be a cousin of mine, William FIGHTMASTER (1804 - ?) of Harrison County, KY, whom I last located in the 1850 U.S. Federal Census - Slave Schedules of Union County, KY and his wife Harriet WOOLRIDGE (1805 - ?).

The amount of information you have included on those memorials seem to indicate you may be related. Might that be so? If this is the same couple I would be pleased collaborate on his antecedents, for whom I have collected some a fair amount of information.

Thanks and regards,
George Paul

I saw the flower you left for Daisy Harwell on Find A Grave. i'm so curious how you know Daisy. She was my great grandmother whom I never knew. I have so many unanswered questions about her. Can you help?

Daniel Omar (amour) Hunt
Thank you so much for connecting my Family... I believe that Daniel name at birth was Amour not Omar and that he was born without a birth Record... My grandfather said that when he went to work at Memphis Light Gas and Water he had to have a birth certificate and he had to go and have one made for him... He went to work at Memphis Light Gas and Water at the age of 16 and Mr. Everett Lester Hunt Sr. Retired as Cheif Of Engineer...49 years and 10 months, I believe that when Daniel went to get his birth certificate made it was mispelled as Omar instead of Amour like his grandfather name was spelled so I guess his name is recorded as Omar but was named by his parents at birth as Amour...
Thanks

while you was in ElmWood you can across the Porter Leath Head Stone and Posted the Pictures... Edgar Hunt was a 8 year old child that was murdered at the children's home.... After getting the burial Permit an New Years Eve,,,, They took him to this Grave Yard and Buried him at 12 midnight to cover their tracks,,,, When the family can to get the children from Porter Leath they were told that Edgar Died and they had to bury him,,,, And he was Dead,,,, They never informed the family of anything.... They had a special Visit on New Years Eve and Edger was out playing Ball that day with his brothers and then they had a Special Dinner,,,, That night he was Killed in this home for Children,,,,
I just wanted everyone to know that he did not die but was killed like so many others in this bad place of business....
thanks

Charles D. McLean's Dad
I read why you will & will not link children to a parent if the burial of the parent is unknown. On his Mom's memorial (Sarah McLean) whom you have him linked-to, that contributor states that according to her burial records that she was the wife of Dr. Lachlan McLean. Her tombstone is illegible & absolutely crumbling. Your memorial was great for Charles, their son. I can't find Dr.'s burial place as-of-yet ...he died several years before his wife...perhaps his gravestone is in worse condition than his wife's, & his final resting place therefore is unknown. So, is it fair to the Dr., Sarah, & Charles' descendants & to this deceased family to not recognize a father to a known son? Charles was apparently proud of his father's life & his lifework. Just saying...

RE: George Richardson Phelan, I (1847-1882)
Thanks, I found the source on Google books. I'm aware of the Chronicling America site but I've never found any Memphis sources there.
