Bio and Links
Bio Photo If I manage someone you are related to, send me a note using the "EDIT tab." I will transfer the memorial to you when not specifically associated with my core ancestors.

However, if I've already completed extensive research on the deceased, by adding links and a biography, there is no need for a transfer. I myself use the great Find A Grave feature "Virtual Cemeteries." This is a wonderful way to keep track of family memorials managed by others.

I'm happy to add additional "sourced" information to memorials I manage, and grateful for any corrections to errors I may have made.

Please use the EDIT tab if you find an error in my research, or if you wish to add information. If your edit can be verified with records, I will add it to the memorial.

I'm Grateful to Volunteer my time 😀 And hope my efforts will help other researchers.

Best regards,
Shari

Here is a nice website for calculating the birth date from stones that list only death date and age at death. Before you use the calculator, please read the fine print at the bottom of the page, which begins with; While doing some testing on this with 30+ death certificates already containing a birth date, death date, and age, I have found it to be only 39% accurate. It was 1-3 days off 38.5% of the time and more than 3 days the remaining 22.5%

THIS IS A CEMETERY
Lives are commemorated, deaths are recorded, families are reunited, memories are made tangible and love is undisguised. This is a cemetery.

Communities accord respect, families bestow reverence, historians seek information and our heritage is thereby enriched.

Testimonies of devotion, pride and remembrance are carved in stone to pay warm tribute to accomplishments and to the life; not death, of a loved one. The cemetery is homeland for family memorials that are a sustaining source of comfort to the living.

A cemetery is a history of people, a perpetual record of yesterday and a sanctuary of peace and quiet today. A cemetery exists because every life is worth loving and remembering, always.

Wow, thank you Shari!
Shari thanks for your awesome work here at Find-a-Grave. I'm impressed with your thorough research and generosity with which you share information and manage memorials while still being willing to share your research by transferring memorials to those more closely related to the person. That's hard to do after having put in so much research and time to build an accurate profile of dates, places, and biography so thousands of descendants can discover their family roots. We are all very grateful to you. Thanks for your admirable genealogical work and great community attitude. I love to surf Find-a-Grave to see how I fit into our great human family.

Location of Dr. Arthur Lincoln's ashes.
Correction. I tried to upload the photo of his cremation niche to your memorial of him but the limit on the number of photos has been reached. If you delete one I'll be glad to upload it.

Location of Dr. Lincoln's cremation urn
Hi, Sheri! I have located the cremation urn for Dr. Arthur Lincoln, Memorial #137710048. It is in the Lakeview Mausoleum Cremation Niches at Greenwood Cemetery, Montgomery, Alabama. See the memorial I created for him (before I found the one you did) at #176973357 for this info and additional info on Greenwood. I uploaded the photo I took to the memorial you created. If you will let me know when you have added this info to yours, I'd like to delete the one I created. Thanks!

RE: Dup: 37106963 vs: 94124968
Dup has been deleted, but please correct your 37106963 from "Kline" to "Klein", per monument.
See father Simon's photo of the stone #94124942.

Mary Lisson Gordon Mem# 40579295
Hi, Shari,

Mary was my 6th great grandmother, and I am trying to get as accurate information as I can about her. Can you please tell me your source(s)for her exact wedding and death dates? These are the most exact dates I've seen, so I am hoping to be able to document them.

Thanks for any help you can give me.

Sincerely,
Melinda

Royal Ancestors
Came to your sight after linking to John Lathrop who is also my ancestor. So amazed to see your virtual cemetery of Royal Ancestors. Many are mine too! I had no idea they were on findagrave. I am excited to create my own list. Thanks so much! Karen

Find A Grave Memorial# 7130555Hi,

You added a photo with a transcription; the first word in the last line is "peaceful" if you'd care to add it.

Actually, Googling it one finds its inspiration-

LO! where the silent marble weeps,
A friend, a wife, a mother sleeps:
A heart within whose sacred cell
The peaceful virtues loved to dwell.
(There are more lines.)
