|I am a native of Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania. My primary interest is the history and genealogy of Huntingdon County, and in particular any of the Park/s families that were in Franklin County and Huntingdon County when they were formed. My roots are in neighboring Franklin County (at this time). I do research at a number of historical societies in central Pennsylvania and am a member of the Huntingdon County Historical Society. I also assist a major surname genealogy organization in some of their work. Please abide by Find A Grave rules regarding use of photographs, including duplication of pictures already in place for a memorial. Refer to their frequently asked questions if you haven't done so already.|

Thanks, Ron, for taking the time to answer my inquiry. Do you know where records, if any, from the Monroe Valley Church were moved because of the church's disbanding in 2009 (either with a merged congregation or a central Methodist/Episcopal administrative location)? I've learned from recent e-mails there are a couple of Historical Societies in that area of Huntington County but have not yet contacted them for information. I was referred to older newspapers from the late 1800s but have not found any obituary information. Any suggestions? Karen

I see you have posted a photo of Jane Shaver's grave stone from the Old Shaver Cemetery in Mount Union, PA. As you probably know the cemetery is in sad shape and most of the stones are piled up against a tree. Jane Shaver is my 3rd G. Aunt and I would like to place her stone back in place. Do you know if there is a map of where the people are buried? There may be a list of those buried there, but I can't find a map. If you know of one or have one I would love to see it.
Thanks for any information you may have on this cemetery in Mount Union, PA

Ron, Your name is attached to a photo of a small church as part of the Monroe Cemetery. Do you have any information about the church (what is its name, religious affiliation, etc.)? I have many ancestors buried there and I'm researching if there are others. Would you be able to assist me with family information from the Mapleton Depot area during the mid- to late 1800s? Thanks! Karen

Hello, Thank you so much for the photo you provided for my Great Grandmother Emma J Chilcote, Could you please tell me the cemetery you found it at? I've never known which one it was.
