Bio and Links
Bio Photo Nearly all of the memorials I have entered and flowers left are somehow related to our family, if you happen to be related would love to hear from you.

I am currently working on trying to locate the final resting place of all the men who were part of the First Special Service Force, aka Devil's Brigade or Black Devils. In July 2013, the Congressional Gold Medal was awarded, collectively, to the First Special Service Force, in recognition of its superior service during World War II. Presentation of the Congressional Gold Medal took place February 3, 2015 in Washington D.C.
My father-in-law, C.W. "Tiny" Beacon served in this elite unit.

Most memorials I have created in CT cemeteries are not family and happy to transfer to family or anyone who wishes to take care of memorial.

I would happy for you to use my photo. I was able to get about 40 photo requests filled that day. I am glad that you were pleased with the photo. Best of luck with your project!

My Grandfather, the most humble man I'll ever know. When I'd talk of medals or heroic things they did as force members every time he'd say, "the real heros are in the ground over there". A man who never bragged or even taliked about what he and his comrades had done. A man that was of few. Shall Let those fearless men who lived on a higher ground than most of us live on forever in God's eye and heart. For only a men did what they did. But men of God they surely were. Men who fought to the death for these guys there was no surrender. Not by most at least. To rather fight to the death was who they were. I am so proud to be the Grandson on a true black devil. God bless them all!

I looked up your request. Their name is in the book with a plot number but there is no marker in that spot. The book has status as "Reserved". Just FYI

Raymond F. Mynhier
My family tree research has taken me to your Find-A-grave memorial for Raymond F. Mynhier. You may already have this information, however if not, I'm sure it would be of interest to you. In a book by Michelle Slatalla named " The Town on Beaver Creek", it describes "Reds" life and a small amount of his military service. It begins on page 119 (chapter eleven)and continues into chapter twelve.
The book was published in 2006 so all I can find are used copies. Found several on e-bay, and Amazon. They are very inexpensive but for me they are Gold. Let me know what you think.

RE: Lawrence Family
You're welcome, and if it ever stops raining, I may get a few more done.
