You're very welcome. Glad I could help.
|Ms Martie M||RE: bio info|
Hi, and thank you for your note!
No, I don't know Mae Brite and don't have her memorial or I would transfer to you. If you find a memorial you would like to monitor as you are related or knew the person, just ask by clicking on the edit button on the memorial page, type in your request and send. Usually any contributor will transfer, if they aren't related.
As for updating, that is what the edit tab is for also. Just click on the edit tab, then on the next screen you have obtions so you click on the first line that says you want to add info; on that next page you can type whatever you want to add, bio info, etc, and then hit send and it goes automatically to that contributor that has the memorial. I will say that it takes quite a while for some contributors to add submitted info or they may chooce to not add it at all. Those that have thousands of memorials to monitor just can't get around to all the updates in a timely manner. Then others are very prompt.
The "add flower" tab is for someone to add a flower and message to that person on the memorial or their family.
Yes, this site is a learning experience but it helps if you read FindAGrave's rules which I did not do the first year (LOL) and then realized there was more to it then just adding a name and some dates. It is fun and addictive when you get into it and not just for your own family and friends but you can add anyone you want which may help someone find that person that is looking for them. I have located old school friends, past neighbors, etc. Add memorials can be tricky too if you don't check for them before adding as you then add a dupe; I always start with "begin new search" and just put in the name because sometimes a person gets added and the burial location is not known at the time so only the name is added so if you enter a state that name won't come up but they already have a memorial. If you KNOW the cemetery then you can just go to the cemetery and enter the name. If you see that name and you have add'l info, then you hit the edit button and give the info to the contributor to add. Most contributors are thankful to get the info.
I am happy to help you in any way I can; just ask and if I know the answer, I'll tell you! :)
|Ms Martie M||bio info|
Hello, I always appreciate bio info to add to all memorials made by me and am happy to get and update info. If you could, please just hit the edit button on the memorial and send the info instead of inserting it in the flower posting area. That way it will be added in the bio area so all can read it instead of eventually being lost through the cycle of people posting flowers.
THANK YOU, and blessings,
