I began genealogy research in 1986. It's been a fun, exciting, stimulating, challenging experience with many strange and wonderful adventures, along with numerous twists and turns. I have met many wonderful people in the search for my ancestors. I have family who came West to Oregon Country on the Oregon Trail in 1843, 1852, and 1853. Some later migrated West by train. Some of the family lines I'm researching are: Bloyd, Brooks, Byron, Cox, Cullen, Darneille, DeCosta, Dixon, Graham, Gray, Hedick, Hempstead, Hilts, Janes, Johns, Larimore, McGee, Mee, Pleasants, Poteet, Rynbergen, Smith, Stafford, Willis & Young.|
NOTE: If you contact me by personal message on this page about any of my memorials, pls mention the person's name, memorial number, and cemetery. Otherwise, don't be surprised if I don't respond. Likewise, if you contact me via email (preferred), pls give me the same data. In all cases, editing suggestions should be transmitted via Findagrave's usual procedure. Thank you.

|Rebecca Maddox||RE: MCHARGUE FAMILY|
I apologize for the several year delay in response.
I no longer have the email account which was linked to the find a grave profile so I never received your message. I just ran across it while I was updating my information.
If you are still active and interested in comparing notes, feel free to email me back. I will update my contact information shortly.
|Cameron Herrell||RE: MARIA ISON @ OAK HILL, BATES CO MO|
Thanks for your input on James W. Ison. First of all, why there is to memorials for Maria is because of 2 different memorial makers. The first one had his right, the second one by Mr. Cox had it as James W. Ison when the stone said wife of James W Ison and Bates County Cemetery Index said her name was Maria F who died in 1881. I had sent edit o Mr. Cox who just approved the name change on the memorial yesterday, hence, making a duplicate memorial. The 2 have been sent into website Management for a merge. It showed in the Missouri marriage records that a James W Ison in Bates County married Matilda McDaniel March 22, 1883 in Bates County, MO. Since this happened 2 years after the death of Maria, this is probably why contributor Ann Gardner, has tied this one to yours in Oregon. I know on Ancestry they list several James W Isons and not knowing the middle name makes it difficult to trace. And it is very possible that more than one James W Ison passed through Bates County. I don't know. I do try for the utmost accuracy in linking memorials as I have had some wrong ones placed on my family tree in the past and I see family trees on Ancestry that have wrong spouse listed in with people.
I will relay your message to Ann Gardner who has done the research on this.
