I've been doing genealogy actively since 1978, but was interested since I was about 8 years old, asking my Grandparents questions about their Grandparents, etc. I compiled the 838 page A JACKSON FAMILY HISTORY:PUTNAM COUNTY, TENNESSEE AND BEYOND. . . . which I published in 1993. Find-A-Grave is a wonderful vehicle to share pictures, and genealogical information to others. I recently retired as a Music Teacher, and spend several hours a day working on Genealogy including Find-A-Grave.|

Thank you so much for sponsoring Uncle Merton's memorial. Are you related or did you know him? Just wondering and I really appreciate you doing this for our family! My Best Regards, Kathie AAH
|No Brats in Wisconsin||# 2997939 Reuben Joseph West|
Hi, Reuben is my 3rd great grandfather. I've recently been taking a deep dive into the family, and find the military and death information for Reuben to be questionable.
He seems a bit old to be serving in the Civil War.
The death location, Atlanta, New York, doesn't seem likely. There were NO battles fought in NY during the Civil War, nor does his presence in NY make any sense, either.
I saw the records on Ancestry, and they seem to be copied/reused without question. The longer I do this (more than 10 years) the more I'm learning to question stuff that isn't documented well and just looks weird.
Are you a descendant? If so, do you have any documentation supporting his service, death location etc?
If you're not a descendant, would you please transfer the memorial to me so I might research further and correct any inaccuracies for which I might find documentation.

|Barbara||Dewey Lee Jackson Memorial|
Hi Steve, It's been a long time since we chatted. I was reviewing Dewey's Find-A-Grave record today and noticed that his wife is referred to as "Minnie" in one sentence (Minnie remarried after Dewey's Death to John Vernon Cox). Her name is Beulah. Dewey's mother's name was Minnie. Hope you're doing well. I recently entered your family info into my tree. Fascinating family. Take care.

you have her parents listed as Lige Henry and Elizabeth Huddleston, spouse as James Whittaker. can you please tell me where you got this information. my personal email is email@example.com this is my great-grandmother and her spouse has been a mystery. we haven't been able to find proof of her spouse
|Brenda Shelley Reed||43924966|
Would you please change the names of his parents to reflect the names in the newspaper article? He was the son of James and Ann Smith.
|Margie Buchheit Hartle||Henry Marion Cloninger|
Hi I was just curious as to the Mother's name on Henry's death cert. It says Mary Stevenson and A M Cloninger is the informant you would think he would know his wife's maiden name just curious. Thanks
