My grandfather was born February 1st 1918 and passed on November 20th 1982. He is buried in Nolan. I was really young when he passed and my father Orville Leroy Reid goes by Lee passed as well and my dads mom Deloris Lorraine Bush (sp) is no longer with us. I have no information on On my grandfather. I was wondering if you could help. Where was he born, Who were his parents, any siblings, and was he born with a different last name and changed it? Anything would be helpful. I'm coming up empty handed.

RE: William Ledbetter
I think I do lol. He was my 3 great grandfather. I never knew him, but my great grandfather spoke of him often.

Thanks much, Marla, for resolving the duplication on William Seburn Ledbetter. Now we can all "rest in peace." :)

William Ledbetter
Thank you so much for the photo! I was a teenager the last time I was there and wasn't very interested in genealogy back then.

RE: Earl Whittaker Family
Hi Marla,
Thanks for the message. I must be getting old as I don't recall the message I sent you. I'm guessing it was about Leon and wondering if there were any birth dates for his brothers. If I didn't tell you before, I'm not technically related to the Whittaker family. Rather, Otis Jesse Whittaker's sister (Bertha) married Francis Odle. Francis' mother Gracy Ethel (Jenkins) Odle was a neice of my maternal grandmother's paternal grandmother. Back when I was sending out lots of Whittaker SAC's it was after someone asked me to hook Bertha up with one of her parents. As a result, I started to think they should all be linked up. I enjoy linking up families in findagrave as I figured that though we are all buried seperately, we are all part of a larger family. Plus many living loved ones may not have time to travel all over to various cemeteries, so the links in findagrave help. It doesn't replace actually going to a grave, but it is better than those who cannot go at all.

Thanks as always for all you do in findagrave. While I don't remember the actual message I sent you, it was probably because you are one of the contributers who is dedicated to doing the best job on the memorials. So there was no need to commit it to memory. Again thanks, and I hope your weather isn't too icy this Sunday!
