Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been researching some of the 36,000 + Army Air Forces personnel who died in the line of duty, of non-combat causes during the World War II era in service-related accidents. It is said that more
than 15,500 Army airmen were killed in airplane accidents between 1941 and 1946, within the borders of the U.S. and it's territories. They gave their all and died in the service of their country, but received no purple hearts and virtually no mention in the history books and have largely been forgotten by time.

For corrections, additions, or requests for transfer of memorial, please use the Edit tab, and select Suggest a Correction or Provide Additional Information to make any update requests. It is much easier to handle the issue this way, rather than a personal message.

I am happy to update any memorial, including family links. But I DO NOT like adding census information, copies of death certificates and please do not add long obituaries to the "photo" area. The information can be condensed and pasted into the bio area. If you don't have the time to type out the obituary, just email it to me. I will add it and give you credit for finding it.
I appreciate any information that can "round out" someone's bio.

Your input to FAG
What an incredible project you have undertaken! I am grateful that I found 15414504, as he has been a difficult man to trace. Thank you. Grace

RE: SGT James R. York
Thank You so Much for placing him in the cemetery and for the additional information, I wasn't sure he was still serving. His older brother was KIA serving in Europe the following year, those poor parents.

Best Regards, Dianna

Elizabeth Zumwalt
Jemima Boone Zumwalt and Henry Zumwalt are my greatx3 grandmother and grandfather. You attached Elizabeth Zumwalt to their Find-a-Grave memorial. However they did not have a child named Elizabeth born in 1819. They did not marry until 1825 in Missouri. The DID have a child Mary Elizabeth born in 1826 which I need to add. May I ask you to please remove Elizabeth Zumwalt? Thanks so much! Kathy

RE: Flight Officer Henry Peter Clark
I love that you are remembering these heroes. I have a relative, Matthew McCroddan FAG110990716 who fits that list. Hit died while testing planes at a base in Washington. Thank you for what you are doing.

Baby Cook
Hi, Tim! I was so excited to see memorials for several of my ancestors with information that was able to further my research after I'd been stuck for some time. Thank you so much for putting them up!
I wanted to ask, on Memorial #18820209, how did you know the baby was a girl? I assume you had cemetery records or something?
