I am a fan of this website because I feel it is so very important to honor the lives of those who have passed. I am especially inspired by the hundreds of members who take the time to remember those who went before us, not only the famous, but just ordinary family and friends who mean so very much to us. When I learned that my parents, who are buried in Fort Lincoln Cemetary (MD), are surrounded by the likes of Sonny Stitt, Dorothy Height, Shirley Horn, and countless other notable African-Americans, I became very interested in learning about the final resting places of various individuals. Making a "pilgrimage" last year to the grave sites of Bette Davis, Brock Peters, Scatman Cruthers, Rod Steiger and other notables at rest in Forest Lawn, Hollywood Hills, was unbelievable and a true honor. Thanks to those of you who take the time to truly HONOR the lives of others and not simply try for FAMOUS BIO ratings.|

the photo that you have up of george crum, just cannot be...
its a fake photo! someone started, hope it wasnt you.
do the math. he was 86yrs old when he died.
that photo is say when the person was 30+yrs old.
that would take us back to around 1860.
there were no photos of that quality, even at 1875!
even for that matter of ethnical people.
if you are to research early accounts of george crum, he was more reffered to as an native indian...
Im not arguing, but someone is playing with history...

He was very special. He never came off as snobby, just plain 'Jim', as they referred to him on the set and off. Thank you, for your kind words. God bless you, Portia,

I am not related, just helping out.

You are correct. Find A Grave took over the memorial before I could do a bit of research and re-post a proper Bio for Mike.
