Bio and Links
Bio Photo I find 'Find A Grave' a great research tool. I'm retired, living in Traverse City, Michigan and using genealogy as a way of keeping my mind active. I have been president of Grand Traverse Area Genealogical Society and am a member of Austin Family Association of America.

I do transfers, links, change information and anything else I can to make FAG a place that is user friendly. It is the members of Find A Grave who make it great place to spend your research time.

If you are related to any person on my memorial list, send me and e-mail or a public message about your family.

My family lines are Austin, Penix/Penick, Paradis, King, Bowman, Joseph, Taft, Seelye, Todd, Pinette, Nadeau, Rose, Reed, Barker, Lovejoy, and Foster.

Chapin buried in Oak Grove Cemetery, Gratiot County
Mary-
Thank you for taking the wonderful photographs of the Chapin family buried in Oak Grove Cemetery. Plotting the family markers and showing where they were buried in relation to each other was very helpful.
I would like your permission to use the photographs in my personal genealogy program and on my website. You will receive photograph credit.
The Chapin family [one small branch of it] is part of my husband's extensive New England "Taylor" branch. Lucius Taylor Chapin, the son of Stephen and Lucy Lacore Chapin, then Stephen Chapin, the son of Pliney Chapin and Naomi Taylor.
Following the Taylor and Chapin families as they moved westward has been an enjoyable and educational experience.

RE: Rock Falls Cemetery
Thank you Mary, but the people I have sent you information for are not part of my family. The information was sent to me by someone who was correcting data on someone I created a memorial for that connects to the individuals in Rock Falls Cemetery. The person who sent me this data is not a member of findagrave. Thank you again for the offer, and thank you also for the work you do for findagrave. Hope you have a great weekend! PPC

Albert Seely
After careful study and numerous census records, I need to let you know that Albert is not the son of Herman T. Seely and Saloma Broughton Seely. He is, in fact, the SON of Allen D. Seely and Elizabeth A. Potter. Herman T. Seely is Albert's BROTHER. I thought you might want to correct this. Sincerely, Kae A. Griffith (kaearelyn@gmail.com).

RE: Pierce
Hi Mary,
I'm glad the info was added as requested, thank you for your assistance.

No, I'm not related, but I feel like family. I've been fascinated with researching the Joshua Pierce family since about 2010 when I found the Pierce name on the title to my property here in Racine, WI. Turns out I now live on land Joshua and son William once owned. I have hundreds of documents, newspaper articles, copies of deeds, maps, info on births, marriages, deaths/obituaries, current photos of the homestead, census records and City Directory info on where many lived, etc. I recently became an email pen-pal to Wendy Baugh in Michigan and I'm in the process of sending her and her mom everything I currently have. Even just today I found more info on some Pierce descendants still living in Illinois.

I'm sure you'll hear more from me as I transfer more of my info to Find A Grave.

Thanks again.

Thurlby William Archer
I see you have placed flowers on Thurlby's memorial. He is my great grandfather (myself, William Leon Scott, Mary Elizabeth Archer, and Thorlby William Archer. You indicated he served in the civil war. I see a flag next to his headstone which indicates to me he did serve in the military (time wise the civil war). I have searched long and hard to find any evidence that he served in the civil war and have not been successful with the exception of an index card with the name William Archer written on it. The librarian in Central Lake was pretty confident this was the Thorlby William Archer I was looking for. We could find no documentation supporting that. Would you share with me any information you have indicating he was actually in the civil war? Thank you so much for any help you can give me.
