I am a retired businessman who enjoys genealogy as a hobby. I find that genealogy and "Find a grave" go hand in hand and its easy to do both at the same time and both are very rewarding.In adding Memorials for those in my family I have added memorials for many non-relatives in hope that it will help others as others have helped me. If I've submitted a relative of yours and you would like it transferred to you, just ask. I live in the Omaha metro area and thats where most of my photos were taken.Researching Bender, Ausdemore,Hittner, German,Ternus, Bockholt, Hatzenbuehler, Kramer, Wickelman and many others. Most of My family came from Germany in the Mid 1800s and settled in the North Eastern Nebraska German farming comunities and spread from there.In my research if I run across a grave of someone in the Military that is Killed in Action they get special attention and i try to find out as much as i can about them and put it on the Memorial. We owe it to these Heros and they should not be forgotten.I authorize anyone to use my photos for any reason."Carry out a random act of kindness, with no expectation of reward, safe in the knowledge that one day someone might do the same for you." ~~~Princess Diana|

There was another marker in the lot for Beverly Ann Nichols (June 28, 1932 - September 12, 1913)
|Keith Gee||Gladys Nichols @ Westlawn|
It was a double marker. Walter Nichols (1894 - 1987) was the other person.

It was nice to be out enjoying the nice weather. You are welcome.
Again, got too excited when I found Aulton's wife. Aulton seemed to be a top notch guy. ROTC major I believe, in the Pershing Rifles at UNL, at least vice-president of Alpha Phi Omega fraternity, and more. If I can find time, I will write a small bio and submit to his memorial and see if they will post. Thanks again, I love a good search. Kevin

Hello again Loren, after an exhaustive search, I found Aulton's wife. Her obituary talks of him. He wasn't and isn't forgotten. I made a memorial for her since there wasn't one. Thanks. Kevin.

Howdy Loren, Aulton was a hard one to track. I found his mother buried in Plattsmouth and submitted edit. She married Arden Redd in June of 1918. In 1930, she has a son "Bobbie Redd" born in 1916 with a father from Nebraska not Iowa where Arden was born. 2 younger siblings have Iowa father. Mother was from Texas, but in Nebraska in 1900 and 1910 in Auburn. Found wedding announcement for Oct 13, 1940 for Aulton and Doris. He had graduated from UNL in 1940 and they were going to live in Omaha where he was working in the Pontiac offices for GM. July '41, son Aulton born, who I believe is living in NM. March '43 daughter birth announcement in Manhattan KS. I know I saw he was at Fort Riley, but can't find now. Daughter birth announcement in March '45 in Lincoln. Also found his obit in April 1945, with 1 month old he probably never saw. His wife Doris I can't find much on. She stayed in Lincoln a while and was in NM where at least 2 of her children are now. The text of the Lincoln obit is on the fields of honor database. I can put a pic of it on his Find A Grave if you would like. Can't find who his father was. Wondering if his father may have served in WWI and been killed. Can't find a Roland in Nebraska that fits though. It was a good search. Thanks. Kevin.
