Genealogy Bug Kate
RE: Hazel Powell
I got the 17 Oct 1891 date from "Kansas, Births and Christenings Index, 1885-1911" on Ancestry. It also shows that she was born in Montgomery, Kansas. I got Sycamore (which is north of Independence) from another family researcher but there is nothing documenting that is where she was born, so could very well be Independence. She was 28 when she got married and 58 when she passed away. Based on those ages and the dates of occurrence they support the birth year of 1891. Also, note on her tombstone that it lists her birth year as 1891 as well.

RE: Julius Barzilla Willey
its an old family name passed down from generations and is almost miswritten on everything. My 2nd Great Grandfather was Barzillai Willey IV and its spelled that way alway the back to Barzillai Willey I. it's from the Bible. and just about every Willey family had a son named this. And I have found it mispelled quite often.

Thank you so much!
You are both doing an incredible amount of work. As predicted, I asked for more, and probably am not finished yet :)

I have more relatives in the Artesia Cemetery, so I will probably be requesting more. Thank you for all the groundwork, it is truly appreciated.

FAG # 15620145 Nehemiah J. Leavett
Nehemiah J. Leavitt was a Native son of Vermont, being born in Warren, Vt., and serving on the 8th Vt. Inf. during the Civil War.
May I use the photo that you contributed to his Find A Grave Memorial, to post on the Vermont Civil War site? ( www.vermontcivilwar.org)
You will receive credit for this.
Thank you for your consideration.

Elizabeth Marshall
Hello Glenn and Tracy,
Thank you so much for the transfer of Elizabeth Marshall's memorial to me. I so appreciate it!
You mentioned on her memorial that her birthdate was as per her death certificate. Is that located online? I'm going to the Hall of Records in Norwalk first chance I get to look it up. -Is there anything I can look up for you while I'm there?

Pamela Wroughton Smith, Westwood Village Memorial Cemetery Los Angeles
Thank you for adding the cemetery photo to my infant sister's Find A Grave memorial page. I am most grateful for your thoughtfulness as it identifies where she is memorialized.

My brother Ron and I had the marker installed when we finally confirmed Pamela's dates.

My mom told me about taking the bus from Culver City to Westwood in the 40s and beyond to stop at the cemetery and remember Pamela who was 'buried' in the baby rose garden.

She tried, before internet, to formalize marker.

Your efforts and kindness are appreciated and important to the story.
