Hosea B. Lewing
Thank you Russ, but the relationship between Hosea B. Lewing to Pat Berel, is Not a Direct Descendant

Direct Descendant's, are his children from the first marriage,

Hosea B. Lewing's, children, of the 2nd marriage, are Not Direct Descendant's, within 4 Generations.
Pat Berel is related, but is not a Direct Descendant of Hosea B. Lewing.

My Librarian, who taught me the Lineage and Ancestral Chart,
always said, "only children from a spouse, he or she, from their first marriage, their children are Direct Descendants,

the second marriage, the second generation of children to the spouse, he or she, are not Direct Descendants, whether they you call or refer to them as step-children, half-sibling's, they are not Direct Descendant's."

Vernon Parish Library, First Baptist Church Librarian, Leesville, La.
Leesville, La.
Librarian Emeritus, (1930-1992)
Mrs. Alyce Marie Haymon Haight (1903-1992)

I am closer related to Hosea B. Lewing, because I am a Direct Descendant.

Hosea B. Lewing
Hello Russ, I need your help. I created a memorial page in July 3, 2013, for #113268968 Hosea B. Lewing (1818-1882),
brother to my Great-Grandmother Octavene Laura Lewing Richardson (1855-1933), my Direct Descendants. I have spent a lot of time and effort researching, submitting my information for my family and created
memorial page's for her sibling's (brother's and sister's). Now, Find A Grave's guidelines are 4 generation's (Direct Descendants). Since I created Hosea B. Lewing's page, a contributor has taken management of my page. The contributor is not a Direct Descendant.
Hosea B. Lewing married 1st to Elizabeth Viddler Lewing, they had two children Emeline Lewing Wooten, and William Lewing, these are Direct Descendants.

Hosea B. Lewing married 2nd to Louisiana Oxley Lewing, they had five children Annie Lewing, Lonnie Lewing, Hosea Lewing, Dollie Lewing, and Narred Lewing. These are step-children to the 1st marriage, they are not Direct Descendants.

I am asking you, please transfer the memorial page for Hosea B. Lewing back to me please, so I can continue adding, researching for my families information, that I may continue maintaining Hosea B. Lewing's page. I have spent so much time and effort for my Mom's
family. I ask you respectfully, to please allow me to maintain Hosea B. Lewing's memorial page that I created, and as the contributor, to continue my research, please. Thank you, #47696685 J B Williams.

Hi Second request for a answer to why I have filled 5900 request as of two weeks ago and now it is only showing 3918. I can't find out why I lost over 2000 filled request. That is a lot of time and energy lost I have put in to finding these. and to have them taken away with no reason.

Col. Hal Moore
Col. Moore passed away February 10th and I am curious as to why you have not posted his death. He was made famous by Mel Gibson in the movie 'We Were Soldiers.'

Vosso Farrar #160289575
I hope you can help me. You are shown as one of four Find A Grave Friends of "Chasing Waterfalls" contributor #472465586. They have their message ability turned off. Chasing Waterfalls has created and manages more than 31,000 memorials. One of those memorials, Vosso Farrar #160289575, is for our great-uncle. It would be so nice to link his memorial to his parents and to his sister's, our great-grandmother, who all have memorials, either by transferring Vosso's memorial to me, or by linking him to his family members' memorials. Do you know any way to reach Chasing Waterfalls? Thank you for your kindness.

Duplicates
This seems to be a problem. And is in the search program and your allowing titles to proceed the name. Example: I'm looking for John Doe. I have all the info that should either say this person is in your data bas or not. I may not know where exactly. I may have the state and maybe the county, but I still don't get a hit on his grave. So, I enter him. Like most people using this site I have done what I am suppose to do. But I didn't know he was a Dr, Lt, or Rev John Doe. But somebody else did and entered him with his tile. We have two entries now. One has info the other has additional or wrong info. And it can be either one. Now we have a problem! Now I know this problem so I enter enough to get it entered then go back and see it listed and check to see if it is already there. But it seems that others just enter and go on because they don't understand or if they find out later or they don't want to concede to the other site. I put titled peoples info in their bio, so it don't mess with the search program which should be under their name at birth. So my suggestion is to get rid of that prename box and in the help explain how to get this entered and why. Or we create problems and not prevent them. Remember the old saying "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure"
