If I have posted an image of a headstone to a memorial and you have a much higher resolution image, please add yours and let me know so that I can remove my image. Many of the images I have added were done back when Find A Grave had a much lower limit on the size of the image and I had a cheaper digital camera!|
If I have added an image to a memorial that you manage and that memorial has reached the maximum number of images, please contact me if you would like to request that I remove the one I added. I am more than happy to consider the request.
I have been asked why I request so many updates to memorials. Simply put - I would like the memorials as complete and accurate as possible so anyone searching for that person has a higher chance of finding them. If you question my data, please put my request on hold (the ignore option) and contact me for further information. Hopefully at some point Find A Grave will put a Notes option on every request for update.
Images I have posted: You may freely use any headstone image or death certificate image I post as long as it is for non-commercial use (that is you will not profit from it financially). A mention of where it came from would be nice but is not required. Any portrait images of people I would ask that you contact me first. Most are my direct line relatives.
I have had an interest in Genealogy since I was 16 and began actively researching in 1974. My current ancestor chart can be viewed here.
I have added memorials for people that I have found while doing my own research on the Internet (and in local cemeteries). If I have entered someone related to you and you would like to maintain the memorial, please contact me via the "edit" option on that specific memorial, politely ask for the transfer and let me know what your relationship is to the individual on the memorial. I can transfer the memorial to your account and will do so if asked unless they are closely related to me.

|Shelly Koster||Louis (ludwig) Kaufman & Gertrude Tacken|
Hi Vince, I just seen your post on Mary Abbey's Find A Grave page about Louis & Gertrude Tacken Kaufman. They are my Great Grand parents and I was wondering if you would share your information with on Great Grand mom Gertrude. I am presently working on this line. My Grandfather was Sylvester Milbocker. His father was Clement. My name is Shelly Koster.
Thank you for the information on her parents. I found them on Find a Grave and have connected them.

Wow! So much new information. I've been working on it all evening, and all the pieces are definitely coming together to make sense.
I am now convinced that Jean did not exist. The passenger list (which I added to the memorial) listed Johannes as Jean, so that has to be where the confusion originated. It really helped that you checked the birth records again.
Take a look at the memorial when you get a chance, and please don't hesitate to let me know if you see anything else that needs to be changed. It is very important to me to be as accurate as possible.
Again, thanks very much for all the well-organized research you sent. It has been a pleasure to work with you on the Auers.

|Ruth Smith||Jacob Mayberry, Jr.|
Vince: We have a problem concerning several memorial pages placed at the Cape Girardeau City Cemetery on find-a-grave. This cemetery does not exist and there are 53 names placed there. The reason for the problem is the death certificates - and the one you placed included- states he was buried at the city cemetery. The office here stated we have 3 city cemeteries: Fairmount, New Lorimier and Old Lorimier and any one of these 3 could be considered the city cemetery. I have taken it upon myself to try to correct these 53 errors and am asking you to please delete your page #138736637. Problem number 2 is he is buried at Fairmount Cemetery and my memorial page #116093979 had the wrong name. Their records have him listed as Jacob Mabrey but the dates fit. So I have corrected that and also stated there was a child by the name of Pearl Mabrey Born March 8, 1911 and died May 9, 1911 who is on the Fairmount list. I cannot find her death certificate under Mabrey or Mayberry.
I will try to send an edit also to make it easier for you and you may hear from me again if you have placed other pages there. last thing - if you would like for me to transfer the page at Fairmount to you, I would be glad to do that. Thanks so much - we share an interest in genealogy and I do want to get it right. Ruth Smith
|Gail Campbell Schulte||Martha Wheeler at Clinton Grove Cemetery|
Please submit a request for better photos of Martha Wheeler and her husband at Clinton Grove. I'll take much better photos once winter has let go of its' grip on Michigan.
|Dana Garrow||recent updates….|
Hi Vince! Thanks for the updates to the memorials I've added including the Eisenreich family in Gate of Heaven Cemetery! I've made the additions and wanted to check and see if you are in any way related or connected with these families? If so, I'd be happy to transfer them to your care! I'm not related at all… just happened to photograph them while looking for requests! Just let me know! Blessings, Dana
|Thomas Lynch||RE: Boddickers|
I don't think I am related to Kay Marie Lynch.
My great-grandfather was James Lynch. His memorial is #55126142. I have connected most of my ancestors after him. My grandfather was Jack Lynch.
|Thomas Lynch||RE: Joseph Boddicker bio Memorial# 98590986|
Thank you for posting the bio for Joseph Boddicker. There are many Boddicker families in Benton County (everyone went to school with a Boddicker :-). I was friends with several Boddicker kids while growing up. So I am trying to clarify the family lines.
I got my information from the obituary that was printed in the local Vinton newspaper at the time of his death, in 1935. The paper printed Berlin but they may have been unfamiliar with Brilon, Germany.
