I'm sorry for your loss. I read his obit and it must have been horrific for your family to lose someone so young and full of life. Condolences.

April Is Finding Graves
It won't let me take the link off, so I transferred it to you. For some reason several children I tried to link as children ended up under spouse. I'm thinking it has to do with the newer edit button. I never linked the family at the time of adding the memorial.

RE: William H. Gibson (West York Cemetery)
I was going back through my e-mails and remembered this one that you had sent about your great grandfather. I've done a bit of looking and haven't found anything. However, I wanted you to know that the Marshall, Illinois library has old Clark and Crawford County newspapers online. I'm thinking that if there were a shooting that it would probably have been in the paper. They are searchable but not everything comes up. You might take a look there and see if you can find anything.

RE: Benjamin Franklin Metcalf
I. Live two hours from there. We just stopped to take photos. I suggest looking up obits thru their local newspaper. Or contacting their local genealogy library. They can be very helpful. So etimes go to google their names. I find a lot that way. Wish i could help more.

RE: Joseph A Wright
Sandy - thanks for writing. I 'sorta' misspoke - I have a Joseph A Wright [more than several, in fact], but the Joseph I meant to convey is the one who was b. abt 1740 or before in Frederick County, MD and who married Rebecca McDaniel.

Either way, will send you the document. If you are related, please let me know how - after you've had an opportunity to look it over.
