After almost 32 years of law enforcement experience then retirement into the peace and solitude of the Rocky Mountians of Colorado. I have decided to embark on a quest to find out the origins of both my maternal and paternal families. This quest has taken me througout the Confederate States of America with paternal family members serving with the 33rd Mississippi Infantry (Leake Rebels)and to the Boarder Lands of Texas and Mexico with maternal family members serving either with the armies of Poncho Villa or fighting against him. Along the way I have located long lost relatives and brought families back together. I have also gathered up information and taken photographs that I hope will help others in their search. |

I was at the cemetery yesterday and today and the cemetery photo, added by you and that Findagrave added to the main page, cannot be the Desert Hills Cemetery in Presidio, TX. There are no trees on either side and the lay out on your photo isn't right for Desert Hills. Check # 49542704 for a look towards Highway US 67 and # 176175852 which shows the opposite side of the cemetery. As you can see, the photos don't match the cemetery photo you added for Desert Hills.

Thank you so much for the transfer! Norman and Bessie are my paternal great-grandparents. I'm grateful to you for creating their memorials and hope their stories and photos continue to honor their memory.
|Celine Olvera||Grandmother's grave|
Would like to locate my grandmother's grave in K of P cemetery . I saw her death certificate on line. Her name was listed as Esther Ramirez Collazo or Olvera Esther Ramirez . Next to it, it said Esther Collazo, her maiden name. She passed away on 02/12,1924 and was born in 11/29/1888 in Mexico.
I would like to make a trip to visit her graveyard ,this is very important to me as no one came to visit her after her death because my grandfater Francisco Ramirez Olvera left for California with his six children ( one is my father ) to start a new life.
How can I find out if her grave can be located? I do not know if it has a headstone or marking of any kind.
Can you help with this ? I would really appreciate any tips on how to find her when I visit the cemetery.

His wife's obit said he died in Estes Park, Colorado.
|Reba Alsup||Robert Ernest Alsup|
I believe when the obit was written they may have planned a burial in Kansas and changes their mind. His wife is buried in Colorado too. See her findagrave. This is a puzzle as there is a tombstone in Kansas too
