RE: 116846770 - Robt Cunningham
Yes, you may use the photo of the headstone for Robert A. Cunningham. Just remember to credit the source per Find A Grave suggested guidelines.

Do you want me to delete the photo of the headstone covered with water?

Did you want or need a photo of the mausoleum near his burial location?

RE: 116846770
I have posted a new photo of the headstone for Robert A. Cunningham. His plot has dried out so I was able to get a clearer photo of his marker. Thanks.

Thank you for the transfer. I knew members of Earnie's family as a kid growing up in Jerome, MO. I knew Julie Aaron [sister to Nellie Aaron Hance] personally and Julie's brother Alzy Aaron as well. Many descendants of the Aaron-Hance family. I will take good care of Earnie's memorial. Thank you.

RE: Joe and Rena Cotten
Ah hah! I'm glad you showed me the DC. Now I see that Inglewood Mortuary wasn't the business that performed the cremation. AND, the DC indicates burial, which means his ashes are most likely buried here in Inglewood, either with his wife, or otherwise.

Notice on the memorial where it says "CREMATION ONLY". That was taken from the old Inglewood database and USUALLY means that their morturary on the premises did the cremation, and the ashes were picked up by a family member. A number of memorials that were created (by Chris Mills) using this old database, which is now defunct, had the same indication regarding "cremation only" and I was told by the cemetery staff that it means the remains were NOT interred there.

After looking at the DC, I believe they may be mistaken. I am going to look into it further.

So, even though this was not the person you were looking for, you are helping others and and your effort is not wasted. Thank you!

Best regards,

Joe & Rena Cotten
Thanks for the new edits, clarifying everything. I wasn't certain about the name change that you first sent, changing his name from Joe to Joseph, but I've been accepting any reasonable edits because I get a lot of them (as you can imagine) and I don't have time to research them all myself.

I am going to take a photo of Rena's headstone, if she has one, and check to see if they added Joe's name to her headstone. At this cemetery, it is common to see cenotaphs memorializing people whose ashes were scattered. Joe's record did not say what happened to the ashes. The mortuary on site doesn't keep those kind of records (I wish they would!).

Best regards,

I have found some information about Lillian S. Cunningham that might help you. However, I have no way of sending it to you without your email address. I can be reached at cougars at Thanks.

Robert A. Cunningham
I have claimed your photo request for Robert A. Cunningham in Santa Rosa, CA. I did find his military marker at the location that it should have been. There is an unmarked grave next to Robert that should contain Lillian Cunningham. Robert's marker was under about 2 inches of water. I baled out most of the water. I will return later to try to get a photo without water and then post the best photo that I can. Thanks.
