Bio? Ok, I'm a retired reg. Nurse who escaped Kentucky to retire where I'd always spent my summers, Harpswell, Maine. Grew up in Essex Fells, NJ and went to ky for college...weird stuff one does at 18. Grandchildren are all in ky.|
Geneology is so much fun and frustrating. Brick Walls seem to be my middle name. Finding family once they crossed the pond is tough.
I live in a little burg called Harpswell that seems to be surrounded by small family cemeteries . Every older home has one. So if I can help, I certainly try. Finding these folks is keeping them alive somehow.

|Kathy W||RE: ScharoldGeorge, George|
Okay so I haven't looked at this part of the tree in a while but there are several very interesting points:
Your George Scharold is only a distant connection in my tree by marriage BUT
he is connected to all my Steffen relatives (KY) which are ancestors of mine on my maternal granfather's side (his last name was Kuehne)
I started tracing all the Scharolds because I have several other George Scharolds in my tree who are direct ancestors and with where everyone lived (Indiana and Kentucky) I find it hard to believe they aren't all connected.
ALSO my maternal grandmother's maiden name was Scharold, descended from one of my other Georges (also known as Frank --I love how they did that back in the day)
And lastly, I note that your last name is Huber. So my Grandfather Kuehne's brother married a Rosemary Huber.
I think you may be on ancestry,as I came across a Huber tree with George Scharold the other day. I'll send you a link to my tree. We should compare notes!
