Bio and Links
Bio Photo I moved from Jackson, Mississippi to Fort Lauderdale, Florida in 1969. I retired in 2005 and my wife Carol and I moved to central Florida.

I bought my first motorcycle and it provides me some pleasurable rides in the area.

The central Florida area has some beautiful county roads displaying awesome horse ranches and homes and the roads provide the opportunity to ride my Goldwing and enjoy this area on daily outings with other friends who have similiar feelings.

Family names of interest are: Burnham, Jones, Floyd, Herrington of South Central Mississippi. My wife's family names are:Keyes, Doyle.

Crystal Keene
Tracing family history
My name is Crystal Keene and I am from Pelahatchie MS. I am trying to trace my family history back from my mothers side. Her maiden name is Pattie Burnham. I have traced her father's side back using back to Ellis Burnham born in 1810 in North Carolina. His wife was Ann Hales Burnham. I am curious as to our family heritage and what country our family came to the US from.

RE: Estus or Cammie Dickerson
Hi there! I honestly can not tell you if they were husband and wife. Usually when I take photos of a husband and wife's monument, I include a photo of the entire marker and then a photo of each side.
I am not sure about this one, but I will certainly put it on my 'double check' list and will check it out the next time that I am in Calvary.

RE: Ella Roberts
You're welcome. If I have any other relatives of yours, please don't hesitate to request a transfer. I don't know if I'll ever go back to Macedonia, but if I do, will look for a Roberts stone near Ella.

You probably already know this but, if you want to mark one of those memorials as a cenotaph here's how:(from Find A Grave Help Section)
Email with a link to the memorial and a message to mark it as a cenotaph.

Hey Ben. Glad I could help. I took pictures of every gravestone in Parker cemetery so I may already have what you need. Just let me know.

RE: Parker Gravesites
There's only requests on 2 of these. Go ahead and put up the other 2 in case someone else gets there before me.

RE: Parker Cemetery
Ben, Parker cemetery is located on private land about 0.1 mile off the public road. You have look closely to see it from the county gravel road. Access is through a gate and then follow a track through a pasture to get to it. When you reach the pond you are at the cemetery. The last time I was there was in January 2010 and had no trouble in my sedan. I don't know what changes may or may not have occurred since then. At that time, no one was home at either of the two houses near the gate. A lady I met further to the north told me that no one would mind if I drove across the pasture. However, if the gate is now locked or blocked in some fashion getting to it would be difficult. If someone was at home, I definitely would have asked permission first. --Bob

RE: Directions to Parker
Thanks Ben,
I had directions to Parker Cemetery. The problem was that Pea Ridge was blocked off at Hwy 35. It looks like the other end of Lindsey Rd should be accessible from Mississippi Hwy 500. I'll see if I can get in that way the next time we're up that way. It's about 100 mile round trip.

RE: Son of Wm. E. Floyd, Jr.
Hi, Ben -- I'm confused by your message. You're listed as the maintainer of William Floyd's page. I transferred it to you a long time ago. Or are you talking about a different William Floyd in a different cemetery? I searched in Everett Cemetery since you mentioned Everett. If you're talking about another William Floyd, please send me the link. I'm always happy to transfer pages, but I need to know which pages. (By far the simplest way is to use the edit/suggest-correction button on the page you want transferred.)
