Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been interested in my family roots for the last 40 years or so and was lucky enough to start questioning my grandparents before they had started to forget some of the details. Because I got married, worked, raised a family, etc. etc. I did not get a real good system going till I retired. Now, I think of nothing else. The internet has made life a lot easier and a lot of information available. However, don't make it too easy. Do not take someone else's research; use it only as a guide. There are too many errors out there.

I am mainly working on my line, my husband's line, and my son-in-law's line. So far, most of the ties are in Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, with one in England. Seems like most of our ancestors were in America before the Revolutionary War. I am researching names like ALSPACH,BAKER,BROWN,BUTLER,CRIDER,CRIST,EMRICK,FEIGHNER,FOGWELL,NICODEMUS,REAM (and that's just my line). - Keep searching and we'll all be one family -

Dickey (Bellefontaine Cemetery)
I am sorry but I do not see anything further posted on Ancestry.com for them. You can try the cemetery as they are very helpful and so keep a card on everyone buried there. Never know what is listed as far as relations or other personal information.

Charles Rush
We wish we could offer more help with Charles, but I looked at the memorials we made fo him and those I linked to him, and I believe I entered everything I could find at the time I made the memorials. I see I did not add a place of death, so the Soc. Sec. record was probably all I found (and of course that shows only the address the last benefit was sent.) I also first look at Family Search, OH Deaths 1908-1953, but he is out of that range. I also would have checked Genealogy Bank and Newspaper Archives for obits, as I always try to add an obit for my memorials. I am writing this on my iPad, as my computer crashed and is at the "doctor's" for an extended stay, or I would be searching for you now. One thing I have been doing for my family is ordering death certificates from the State of Ohio Dept. of Health. Unfortunately they have to be certified at $21.50 a pop, so I can do that only for people that I really need the information on. I have ordered, no questions asked or proof required of relationship, up as late as 2011. They want to know the parents's names, including mother's maiden name, and usually that is what I am looking for. So far I have received the certificates, even when I could not fill that out--and very quickly too. I have at a much lower price received death records from historical societies, but not the later years. If you are sure he died in OH the Health Dept. is an option. Also Newspaper Arhcives has added papers since that memorial was made, although I often have to search page by page. So sorry I can't be of more help! Good luck and hope you find him.

Hi Terry,
I would love to share any information I have with you on the Rush Family. If you are on Ancestry, my tree is public and under Lowery/Opoien I am Calvin's GGG Grand daughter and have been to the Rush property in Athens. Please email me at opoienjulie@gmail.com so I can exchange info with you.

Elizabeth Stokely Conwell
Thanks for catching the error in Elizabeth Stokely Conwell parents. I did not see that when the memorial was transferred to me.
Thanks again.

Obituary
You'll have to provide a direct email address or link to the memorial / memorial # as I have no idea who this is even for. I do 1000s of updates a day.

RE: Your Request for Thomas Carroll
Yes, just going by what the obituary said. Not sure which is correct. Maybe just note that obit says "A" in bio section.

Joseph M. Ward
I am researching a family Civil War Quilt with the names and military units of 320 Soldiers embroidered on it. Joseph M Ward 76th Ohio Infantry Company F is one of those individuals. I believe that he also served in the 3rd Ohio Infantry Company D and the 79th Ohio Infantry Company A and finally in the 16th Veterans Reserve Corps (VRC) Company G.

I am still trying to determine how the names were selected for the quilt. Most, 200 of the 320 soldiers lived in Kansas after the war including my G G Grandfather James Boston 53rd Ill Infantry and his wife Caroline Boston Civil War Nurse at Benton Barracks General Hospital St. Louis MO.

I would be interested in knowing if Joseph Ward was a member of the GAR (Grand Army of the Republic. Most of the soldiers including James Boston were member of that organization and some of the names may have been collected at a GAR encampment? Thanks in advance for any information you can share about Joseph Ward.

Rebekah Billings
Emma David # 127756247
The entry I made for her came from a list "Compiled by Lanny Golden, Wes Campbell, Beverly Sellers-Niel, and E. M. Whetsel". Unfortunately, I don't know what their resources were, or even when it was compiled. I have read that the cemetery was not taken care of very well over the years, and graves have been lost. I don't know if there was another Emma that might have also been there at some point, but the only one on a list transcribed from tombstone photos by Sue Picard is the one shown in the photo. I've made a note of this on the memorial. The previous date might be a point to start researching from, but may be a complete misprint. Sorry I can't help you in this research any more. If you'd like to manage the memorial and update as you see fit, just let me know.
