Mr. Sparrow is in a columbarium compartment. Tried today to get a picture inside the compartment but it is almost impossible to get a picture of the inside of the compartment. These indoor columbariums have glass fronts with lots of sunlight coming in through the windows. Unfortunately, I do not have the equipment to get a good picture.

FYI I found her death certificate on Seekingmichigan.org with a misspelled (read) surname of Inalman. Her death certificate does show Oakwood Mausoleum as her place of inurement.
Too bad Oakwood Mausoleum is now owned by a company that is not Find A Grave friendly.

I can't even begin to express how much I appreciate you taking the time to sift through records to find his burial spot for me! I had been hoping to be able to make a trip down that way to do it myself but haven't yet had the means to do so. It is nice to finally know for sure that my great-great grandfather really is buried there (I was starting to have some doubts). The photo and GPS location will both make such a lovely additions to his research file. Thank you, again, so very much!
|John Bracchi||Louis LaBonte|
Thanks so much for the photo of where Louis is buried. Wish there was a headstone, but now I know.
This cemetery is very large. If you are requesting a photo, please obtain the plot location before requesting a photo. This can be done by either calling the cemetery or using the cemetery's online interment search which can be found on their website www.mounthebroncemetery.com. You need to get this information into the plot location, which you can do by sending a correction tot the creator of the memorial using=g the correction form.

I am sorry that I was unable to fulfill your photo request. I learned that John was a Civil War veteran who served in Co. F of the 17th Maine Infantry. I found the application for a military headstone to be delivered in 1928. However, I walked the entire stated section and could not find the stone.

Sorry for the delay in replying to your message. I have no excuse except that I always forget to check my messages on this website.
There are no Oberlins that I know of in the area, however there may be relatives who have a different last name. I will ask around and if I find out anything I will let you know!
