I have enjoyed researching my family ancestors. I have been doing genealogy for about 15 years or more. And I never seem to get tired of working on it. I have gained not only distant relatives that I didn't know about - but also have obtained family photos that I didn't know even were out there. I have 2 very good friends that are willing to do genealogy with me and explore cemeteries just to obtain information that we need. Working on both my ancestors and my husband's ancestors has been an adventure that I truly enjoy.

My family names include - Fite, Ellis, Turner, Hux, Noble, Harrison, Fountain, Hightchew, Williams, Bailey, Frakes, Hood, McGlone, and Buckingham.

Lucretia Clem and Willis G. Clem
Hello Linda.

I have a mystery on my hands. Willis Gorman Clem was married to Lucretia and his son is James I. Clem; however, Willis was born in 1853 and died in 1914. He subsequently married Catherine Sullivan. I have proof from his death certificate, census records and newspaper articles and from the records of his children with Catherine. I have also searched to see if there was another Willis Clem in the area at the same time to no avail. It looks like there may have been an earlier marker or markers on this site and possibly an error was made in the replacement. Is there any way for you to verify this information? Any help you could provide is greatly appreciated. Thanks for all the work you do on Find-A-Grave!
Find A Grave Memorial# 51790040 is Lucretia and Willis is #51790006

Mea Culpa!
I am so sorry but it looks like I forgot to thank you for taking your time to photograph the grave of Charles Mccomas. Truly your lovely photos are appreciated. Luckily I was reviewing emails today and discovered this oversight! Many thanks!

RE: Elijah A. Barrett.....
I think you are right - went back to figure out birth dates and the marriage record I found doesn't have one.
I'm going with the Caldwell

Sorry for all the mix up

RE: Elijah A. Barrett.....
I had the same thought - but birth dates are same and she was from KY and New Albany is on the border.

Was wondering if she had been married before and MOrris was a married name.

Thank you

Linda, thank you very much for the headstone photos for Aunt Roberta and Uncle Howard. It is comforting to know someone cares and fulfill the request.
