I am a direct descendant of the Copp, Brown, Peck, Ward, McIntyre, and Shaw families on my father's side. Roloff, Crescelius, Garbrecht, Pfersich, Zastrow, and Ziemer families from Prussia on my mother's side. I am making a special effort to photograph stones at Terre Haute Cemetery in Henderson County, IL. Many of the stones are faded and breaking off. I want to preserve them digitally before it's too late. My Peck & Shaw ancestors rest at this cemetery, so it is very important to me.|
As with everyone else, if you find a relative's memorial that I have created, you can have it to manage. Just drop me a note via Find-a-Grave. I am creating memorials because I can get to these cemeteries to take the pictures. I appreciate the memorials people have made for my family members who are buried far away. Thank you, all!

|Ruth Ellen Bartels||RE: Coming to your area|
Looking forward to your email. I can't believe that the genealogy area at the library would get so difficult to use; just hope that I can get into it as I have a long list of things I want to look up. Good old budget cuts? I also ran into a library being closed in Centerville, Iowa that I desperately wanted to use.
Anyway, thanks so much. My best to you and your mother.

Well, actually, we don't leave until Oct.1. Plan on doing family research in Iowa for the first few days, then cross the river and have at least 5 counties to stop in, mostly Henderson, Warren, and Hancock.
How do you get around Center Grove cemetery? Is there a cemetery index at the library in Kirkwood (or, is there a library in Kirkwood)?
Just wanted to thank you for having made the memorial for my step-GG grandmother, Cammilla Luther, and also for the excellent photo of her grave marker.
When I started working more intensely on our family tree a couple of years ago, it really helped me when I found her memorial on Find A Grave. She had never remarried and kept her married name, and a couple of her children were buried in the same cemetery, so it gave me a starting place to start pull together the pieces for that part of our family.

Hi, Shawdau -
You have a memorial for one of my ancestors, Bertha Louise Gerth Gottschalk, but her gravestone only has Bertha Gottschalk on it.
May I ask if she is a relative of yours only? She was Pommeranian, from Rosshagen, which is now Rossoszyca, Poland.
|Ruth Ellen Bartels||RE: Coming your way|
Thanks for your encouraging words. How wonderful that you still have your mother after all this time!
I'm still looking for Carolyn Hildreth Kennedy at Center Grove. My folks found it back in the 1970's, so I'm going to take their photo and see if I can find it. I have a feeling that it's almost unreadable. It's a tall skinny white four-sided stone with an obelisk on the top.
|Dennis Bell||RE: Flora Beaver|
Happy to help. Flora was my aunt. 1 of 13 siblings.
I am researching for a relative of William Wheatley.
I need inf. about LaVeta Ann Buell m to Howard paul Wheatley and buried in the Moss Ridge Cemetery in Carthage, IL
Also inf. about Henrietta Clark m to Claude D. Wheatley and buried in the Harris Cemetery near Dallas City, IL

|DBlomgrenBeane||Carl and Charlotte Carlson|
Thank you for all your work, especially for creating the memorials for:
Carl A. Carlson (152225461) and his wife
Charlotte Carlson (152225491).
They are my great-great-grandparents, and until I found your memorials, I didn't know his death date!
Would you be willing to transfer them to me when you get a chance?

It's my pleasure to "reunite" families here on find a Grave. I love seeing the families all together again. It's like solving a jigsaw puzzle.
|Diann Kilby Gravino||Cemetary Photos|
I am unable to pull up some of the photos of the grave sites. One example is for William A. Kent from Galesburg, IL. All I see is the broken picture icon. Is it my computer, the website?? Any idea would be appreciated. Diann Gravino
