Bio and Links
Bio Photo We have a free genealogy website specializing in Missouri and Kansas records, especially cemetery transcriptions as well as marriage records, census transcriptions, biographies and obituaries. We try to add our transcriptions to Find A Grave as time permits, but we have thousands more than we have listed at this point. If you have info to add to a listing, please contact me, I am always happy to update the listings even if it takes me a bit to get caught up. If you are contacting me to request a whole group of listings transferred to you, I am probably going to delete it. I am more than happy to transfer a couple of listings to a direct family member, but someone who requests "everyone with that surname" is just abusing the system. Thanks!

You have a photo posted that cannot possible be Eli. Ive seen it floating around for years on Ancestry. He passed away in 1854, and that photo is from a much later date. Much later. This photo is not a Daguerreotype, which would have been the photo process available in 1854. And the clothing is not proper or correct for the 1850s.

Thank you so much for taking this great picture! Just FYI-David's family was Huber until they settled in Louisiana. After David died, his family left and returned to Dayton, Ohio where their families were and the name returned to Huber.

Johnna can't tell you how please I am that you
have done so much work on the Moore Cemetery. My brother-in-law Jones Webb and wife Evelyn started in 1968 the Webb-Garner family genealogy pre-computer days and they had many family photographs
that I have tried to place on my husbands ancestors.
Stephen Sallee Seamster and wives Minerva Jane Peak and Etta Mariah Pate pictures were in the group. For years a picture of Marinda Helen Seamster, Webb the mother of my father-in-law Otis Linzy Webb hung in the living room in Sebastopol, CA. I always thought she was an attractive woman. I wanted to know more about her siblings so that is the reason for seeking information onMary Alice or Alice Seamster Moore
1st wife of Joseph B. Moore.

RE: James Gentry
Johnna,
Thanks for reviewing our suggestion for correction on this memorial. There seems to be a glitch with this process, which we've encountered before. When we included great-aunt Elizabeth Thomas as his spouse, it indicated she was already linked (which was true). When we left her off and re-submitted the suggestion, you saw the results - go figure.
Thanks for following-up and verifying our intent.

Hi Johnna:
Any chance we know of someone to take the tombstone pictures in Moore Cemetery, Jefferson Twp., Polk Co., MO.? There are 11 tombstone in this cemetery.
Mary Alice Seamster Moore was 1st wife of Joseph B. Moore and died 1891-1897 time frame in Polk Co., MO. as a young mother. 1870 and 1880 have her name as Mary A. Seamster, tombstone Alice Moore.? Would like to get dates off tombstone to add to her biography. She was my husbands great aunt sister to his grandmother Marinda Helen Seamster Webb.
Thank you,
Diane L. Webb

RE: Lucinda Owens Largent #8761204
The message below was sent to me by another family member and I have to agree. My database shows her to be born about 1800.

1850 & 1860 US Census records have this Lucinda Largent alive & residing in Hickory County, Missouri with her husband Thomas & son Josiah. Therefore she could not have died in 1842. These 2 records also enumerate that she was born about 1798 or 1800 in North Carolina & must have passed away after 1860. I wish I could find out more about her birth & death, but so far I have not. Just thought I'd pass this info on to you.

Johnna,

Question: Have you actually seen this grave? I have a memorial #66856916, in which I have her list ed as born about 18000 in NC and died after 1860. I also have some of her children. She was married in 1827 and her 1st child was born in 1829.

I need to know where the error is!!!
