I very much enjoy researching my ancestors whom have made my life, as it is today, so wonderful. The freedoms we all enjoy only came to us by the sacrifices of our forefathers. I am a Proud member of the DAR with many Revolutionary War Patriots in my lineage. I am also a proud member of the United Daughters of the War of 1812 with several proven patriots, finding more all the time. I am a member of the United Daughters of the Confederacy and the United Daughters of Union Civil War Veterans and a member of the Sons and Daughters of World War II. I continue to complete supplements for all of these organizations and will do so until I am sure all have been recognized and honored for their service to this country.

The Waters Family
Good afternoon,
I was notified that I had a double memorial for Ples Waters, son of John and Sidney Waters. If it was from you, thank you! Looking at this family again, I found your story that John's father, Enoch, is thought to have killed John's mother, Elizabeth.
I am a first cousin 4 x removed. I listened to my grandparents, Thomas Lamar and Rachel Susan Davis Nuchols, and my aunt Mary Nuchols Hitch speak of this family often. I had never heard this! The Waters family have presented several puzzles through the years. Now another! One of the most interesting is Will Parham's statement, "Of course we know the Waters are Red Dutch." My brother had his DNA done and no American Indian blood was found.
Do you know anything that could shed light on this? Do you know how and/or why the "murder"?
I love to share. Thank you for interjecting this mystery! Tommie Moser Nichols, Powell

I'm glad I could help you. It was quite a hike cars were permited on the hiking trails. Here is a web-site about the cemetery. Did you see this?
