Connecting families of the Mid Ohio Valley,one gravestone at a time.|
We have been doing genealogy for many years. We love the Find a Grave website and really enjoy cemetery hopping to take photo requests.
We photograph whole cemeteries, so if you see someone we have entered that is related to you, we would be more than happy to transfer them to you. Just ask. After all, that is what Find A Grave is all about. People maintaining their family's memorials, because who knows more about them than their own family.
Your tombstone stands among the rest;
Neglected and alone.
The name and date are chiseled out
On polished, marbled stone.
It reaches out to all who care
It is too late to mourn.
You did not know that I exist
You died and I was born.
Yet each of us are cells of you
In flesh, in blood, in bone.
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
Entirely not our own.
Dear Ancestor, the place you filled
One hundred years ago
Spreads out among the ones you left
Who would have loved you so.
I wonder if you lived and loved,
I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot,
And come to visit you.

All the years I've worked with you two "kids", you never disappoint. Kind of make some of the negative stuff fade away and I appreciate you SO much!
|Smiley Edward Bennett||Robert Bennett 133320853|
My name is Smiley E. Bennett and Robert Bennett was my Great, Great, Great Grandfather. I was hoping you would transfer his memorial to me so that I can connect it to his children. His memorial is 133320853
Thank you very much!

Thanks for your note. I knew these were not your memorials and I thought I had sent the requests to the "edit"dept. They usually make the change in 3-4 days so I will watch for the them. I am trying to coordinate the listings of all the siblings on all their memorial sites for future use by others. I have noticed your work so thanks for your efforts. Ed Hartshorn

I was wondering where the maiden name McWoshen comes from. I have been researching this family and have not identified the maiden name for this person until I saw it on Findagrave. Susan G
|Erik||mr Basil R. Hayes|
Dear mr and mrs Wince,
My name is Erik and I live in the Netherlands. A while ago I bought a WWII dogtag on an online auction. The dogtag belonged to private Basil R. Hayes. Browsing the internet I found one of your contributions on findagrave.com and I am pretty sure that it belonged to the mr Hayes which grave you added (https://findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=122316280).
We in the Netherlands owe so much to the American troups who liberated the Netherlands in 1944 and 1945.
Thanks to your work, it opened a connection to a life and place with this once very personal article.
If it is ok and appropriate, I am happy to add a photo of this dogtag to mr Hayes' page on findagrave.com.
