Bio Photo I am a member of Daughters of the American Revolution, the Jamestowne Society, Descendants of the Signers of the Declaration of Independence, the National Huguenot Society, and the Colonial Dames of the 17th Century. I just love researching family histories. I taught Jr. High English in the public schools for fourteen years. I was an Elementary Counselor and a librarian for fifteen years.

I would love your contributions to the pages I've added. I especially want pictures of the people I have listed here. I am taking pictures of all the tombstones in my area in order to preserve family histories for future generations, especially those who wish to join DAR and other societies. I want to honor these people and truly wish for them to be "Gone but Not Forgotten." I want to create a page for each person with pictures and biographical information. My DAR webpage is at

RE: Ambler, Pugh, Holt
No tombstones for Louise Holt and Joseph Pugh. If you click on the picture of the lot and look at the bottom, I put a caption there explaining that the only marker in the lot was for Elizabeth Pugh

RE: Floy Mooney
Linda, here you go. Happy to do it!

Floy Elzine Mooney, 91, daughter of Willis Paris Ashworth and Kelsey Jane Hayes Ashworth, was born Jan. 21, 1910, at Duke. She died October 25, 2001.

She married Noel Vincent Mooney September 3, 1928. They had four children.

Mrs. Mooney loved to read and sew when her eyesight permitted. She loved the outdoors, spending hours on the river bank fishing and tending her flowers and garden.

She was preceded in death by her husband May 19, 1973; her parents, three brothers, two baby sisters, one granddaughter and an infant great-grandson.

Surviving are her children, Elder Noel Mooney, Amy Dickens and Ann Hagler of Licking and Jim Mooney of Kingdom City; 16 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 16 great-great-grandchildren.

Services were Oct. 27 at the Fox Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Doyle Garrison and the Rev. Ray Riddle officiating. Burial was in the Watts Cemetery at Duke.

RE: Alexander Vestal
And are you related? I took pictures of everyone I could find while I was there; Alexander Vestal was the only one that is actually part of my wife's family. Her ggggrandfather.

The Irish Lady
Liberty Cemetery - Bertha and Cecil Foster
Many thanks for getting the headstone for these relatives onto Find A Grave. I was excited to find it.

I wonder if you'd allow me to use the pic in the family research, with credit of course?

George Washington Cooper
Just wondering if you have the documentation for the birth and death dates of George Washington Cooper (mem # 144329909)? He is my 3rd great grandfather.

Bethel Cemetery, Summersville, MO.
I am trying to find directions to the Bethel Cemetery in Summersville, Texas County, Missouri to go see my ancestors tombstone & take pictures.
I have tried to use the google maps & it says it can't find it.
Do you by chance have an address for the cemetery or know who I can contact to figure out directions to the cemetery. My ancestors are the Green Berry Brown family.

Thank You

Clyde W. Cobine - # 55530522
I wanted to thank you for the photo of the grave stone of Clyde W. Cobine that you placed on his memorial. I'm wondering if you would grant me permission to use your photo on my file for him ... I have no interest in the photo for anything other than genealogical purposes and give credit to the photographer in the photo description.

Thanks for your consideration.

Sorry, if Ann (your Mary ANN), who appears in the 1870 Census with Isaac and Nancy Hankins Phillips (first wife), is your ancestor, I have no information to add. My descendant is from Isaac's 2nd marriage to Nancy Dailey Crawford.
