I was born and raised in Walworth County Wisconsin. I gained an interest in cemeteries early in life from attending Memorial Day services at Oakwood Cemetery in Sharon, Wisconsin. I was amazed at all the lives, and the stories they represented. This interest was enhanced when my eighth grade teacher, Bill Grieg, required us to study the history of Sharon.|
I was a church-planting missionary in the fundamental, independent, Baptist field for over twenty years until health sidelined my wife and me. We now live in Watauga, Texas to be near our two daughters and their six children. I have always been interested in local history, and enjoy strolling cemeteries to discover new stories. I look forward to doing so until the Lord calls me Home!
My personal family interests center on the following families: Oftedahl (Oftedal)(see www.Oftedahl.com/history), Mortenson, Ryan, Bjerning, Gebhart, Taylor, Smith, and Nethercutt.
If you have anything to add or correct in any of my listings, please feel free to contact me.

Since most of the people in the Whites Chapel Cemetery are related by blood or marriage, you might enjoy looking through a book that should be found in the library at Grapevine concerning the families of the Grapevine/Keller area. I can't remember the title of the book but am sure a librarian can get it for you. The families are the settlers of the area and their decedents.

May I have permission to add their photo to my Ancestry.com family tree. Your name and date will be shown

I wonder if I may have your permission to use your cemetery photo on my family website. Check it out at www.freienmuth-shortridge.com/shortridge/cemeteries.html. This is how I'd be using the photos and obituaries I find on Find A Grave, with 'used with permission' in the caption.

Don, I want to thank you so much for helping others through your work with Find A Grave. You and others have made it possible for me (and others in my condition) to visit cemeteries and see our extended families grave sites. I visited physically when I started my genealogy journey but now because of health and age am unable to do so. I hope you won't mind my making copies of your photos for my family files on Ancestry and Family Tree Maker. I am trying so very hard to get all I can on them so that my descendants and others can see their heritage. Thank you again for helping us. God bless you as you do this mighty mission.

|P. Mazankowski||Robert Cramer|
I requested a photo of Robert's headstone, but was told I needed to get the plot number. This morning I called the cemetery and was told he was in Garden of Roses, block 246, Lot C, space 4. P Mazankowski

Mr. Flannigan has record books for all the cemeteries in the county. He was kind enough to check Smithfield for some of my family. He was reading from the cemetery records. Someone has recently added a photo to Robert's memorial and the stone reads 1902. I thought it may have been hard to read if it was broken at the time it was transcribed as it looks to have been recently repaired. The crack runs right along the area where the date is. He also noted that his information was right next to Minnie Snider(I added her to the cemetery) who also died in 1902. The record said she died in childbirth, leading him to believe that Robert was her son. The records stated that she is the wife of I. C. Snider (Isaac). I was just trying to be helpful and pass along some information that was given to me.
