I was introduced to Geneology in 1980. I've been addicted ever since. |
I am THRILLED to make transfers to ANYONE provided they are going to improve & take care of the memorials and that I have not placed a RED FLOWER on it. BRIGHT RED FLOWERS indicate my family, relatives and V.I.P.'s. I won't usually transfer these memorials. I'm not picky about relationship, family or not. Just because I walked into a cemetery with a digital camera or I opened a cemetery book and created memorials does not mean I own anything or have the right to be difficult or greedy ....... I promptly fix mistakes and delete doubled memorials, please let me know! These memorials belong to US as a group and they are actually OWNED by Ancestry.com.- not me.
The TOMBSTONE and LOT pictures I have placed are yours to use for other genealogical purposes to include other sites.
This site is not called "Find-a-Document".
Documents take up what limited space there is for photographs of the PERSON, HOUSE, or tombstone and GRAVE AREA. Please respect the memorials I manage and resist posting copied paperwork or certificates to where the photographs belong.
If you have some corrections, requests, links, additional info., ect., PLEASE use "EDIT" tabs located on upper right side of each memorial for all these things, not this Bio. page or my Email. Thank you for your time and any help or corrections you can send!!!! !
I have great respect for "UNKNOWN BURIALS". If you have OLD memorials that are "unknown burial" and you want to move it to the proper cemetery just because you found my memorial posted there, fine, I am still HAPPY to delete my memorial provided yours is older and more complete. I will even move my grave pictures to your memorial if you prefer. Let us NOT have doubled memorials!
My family -back 3 generations: DEAN, WARREN, BUMPUS, CASTERLINE, STREBY, SHANNON, WARNER, SMITH, ROWE, TOWNSEND, BUCKMASTER, WEBB, MILLS, STINEMETZ.

You are most welcome for the photos. Everyone with whom I spoke in town was very friendly and tried to help me to find the cemetery. Eventually, with a direction from this person and that person, I was successful! Do you know, or can you put me in touch with anyone who would know if Samuel Campbell, husband of Elizabeth Campbell (Memorial# 71677071), is buried at the Dean Cemetery? Or do you have any clue where he might be buried? Elizabeth and Samuel are my 4 X Great Grandparents.
Thanks so much, Priscilla

How exciting to find a photo of Wilson and Eliza Reeder. Would you mind if I copied to my family database?
I know we may have corresponded before but I lost my data in a PC crash. How are you related to the Reeders?
Thanks so much.
|Cindy McCurdy||Anna B. Wilson|
Thank you Todd for transferring Anna #77710711 to me. I appreciate all your hard work.
|Priscilla Fanning||Dean Cemetery, Jamestown, Ohio|
We will be traveling to Ohio soon. I am wondering if the Dean Cemetery is open to the public or if it is on private land. I am related to Elizabeth "Elis" English Campbell through her son William Campbell. It would be interesting to stop by.

Just wondering if you ever located the info you talked about in regard to the "Cat Lady Dorothy M. Starns Palmer? I didn't know her personally but was acquainted with her son Joseph L. Palmer who I linked to her page today. Thanks for all the work you do.

Thank you for transferring Mary Jane Ferguson Find A Grave Memorial #87412483. Is the photo that transferred with it showing the location where she is buried without a headstone or is it a mistake? If it is a mistake could you remove the photo (I will not be able to change it since you originally submitted it). Again thank you for the transfer.

Thanks for the other transfers--and thanks for letting me know that you'll be keeping those two. Finally, towards the end of the process, I've got a spreadsheet going where I keep track of my requests and people's responses, so that I don't end up duplicating any requests.
I'm always aware that, even though someone may have transferred dozens of people in the past, some new request may be a friend or relative that they won't be willing to transfer. And I really do appreciate people like you who take a couple minutes to send me a message explaining that. From my perspective that's just common courtesy. But sadly, such common courtesy seems beyond the capability of so many people these days.
I've always thought, though, and continue to believe, that the percentage of decent, helpful people is higher on Find A Grave than in the general population these days. But what's probably even more true is that people in general are more courteous and respectful than the news media--even the best of them--would lead us to believe.
|James Willis156||RE: Stuart|
Todd, the publisher has confirmed that the photo is indeed fair use. That being said, I would still like to list the photo "courtesy of" you since you were the one who tracked it down originally. I'll list your name as Todd James Dean, unless you prefer something else. Just let me know! And thanks again for your help!
|James Willis156||Seeking permission to use Stuart Pierson photo you posted|
I am currently working with History Press on a book currently slated for a 2017 release. A chapter is devoted to Stuart Pierson and as such, I would be interested in using the photo of Mr. Pierson you posted to his page: http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=60233228
If interested, please feel free to contact me so that we can make arrangements for me to get a copy of the photo and, more importantly, how to credit you with the photo.
Thank you in advance. I look forward to hearing back from you.
