Bio and Links
Bio Photo I started my genealogy searching when I retired and my sons gave me an OLD, pieced-together computer so I would have "something to do". Games soon got boring, but I got hooked on the real search. I have found cousins that I thought were lost and found many more I never knew existed.
One of my sons received a book about his paternal grandmother's family and we had such a huge tree, we had to make two separate trees on Tribal Pages. Have traced one of his lines back to his 6th great-grandfather, John HART, signer of the Declaration of Independence. Other ancestors back to France in the 1600's, the Hugenots. And others back to Holland about 1390.
I have now raised 4 sons and 3 grandchildren, the youngest, was 20 in May. He is in the Army & just came home from Afghanistan. Two sons were in the Navy, one in the Air Force. My granddaughter was in the Navy and is now raising my two beautiful great-granddaughters. My husband and I were both Marines.

RE: MaMa K
Yes, I am Kay Noska's brother, the one born in 1952. I just happened upon mama K on the internet and was thinking I never knew of her husband and spent some time in Plain Dealing after grandpa Bixler died. not too long, maybe 2 years and then we moved to Shreveport. I was talking to one of mama k's grand daughter a year or two ago and she also said she never know of a husband. mama k's daughter was neda and neda husband Travis

RE: Cleo EDMON, Memorial# 17435641
I am sorry to say I am not related so I have no more info to share.

Cleo is listed as living with his mother Bertha Mae Edmon (widow of J.E. Edmon in 1951) in 1954 in Bakersfield. He is listed as being in the army at that time. Later directories lists Cleo as the only Edmon in Bakersfield. He works as a laundry man at Kern General Hospital.

In the 1940 census, Cles Edman is listed in the family of Jainina and Bertha Mae Edman. They are listed as negro.

I don't believe this information is the one you are looking for.

Good luck in your research.

Thank you for the information you shared about L.Q. Sr. I am L.Q. Jr's granddaughter. You stated Sr married Josie in July 1911. L.Q. Jr and Erma Lou were not born until March 1912. Do you know any information surrounding these events. My grandfather never spoke of his family. I am trying to fill in the gaps as I gather family history. Thank you, Teresa Orr

RE: Elizabeth Bird Teets Mem # 24052732
not sure -- I found Lurena (Rena)Bird as a servant in the 1900 census. - You might get her SSDI application and see who is listed as parents, or her birth cert. from the NJ archives.

We are distantly related, as I am also related to the Teets family.

Let me know if you find anything. - thanks

The source of this is "Early Records of Georgia Vol. I and II Wilkes County" by Grace Gillam Davidson - Vol. I and extracted by her from
"Wilkes Co., Georgia Minutes of the Inferior Court 1801-1812" and page 235 of these minutes and page 161 of her book source above.

Page 235 ==Jan 7, 1811. Aris Cox, dec'd. Matthis Huff and Robert Cox appointed Admrs. William Saffold and Robert Dearing, Security.

(William Saffold/Ann Gaundelock were parents of Winnifred Saffold who marries Thomas B. Malone in Morgan Co., Georgia 1812 or so). William Saffold also was witness to will of a William Bostick

This Aris Cox is in bible record of Reuben and Joicy Hampton as father of Reuben, his mother Ruth Cox. Reuben Cox md. Joice Hampton, d/o John Hampton and Joice Malone...(Joicy). Reuben and Joicy lived in Yolabusha Co., Ms. (I know I spelled it wrong)

RE: Your Great-great-great-grandfather
1830 in Gwinett Co., Georgia is a Robert Cox, 20-30 male 1 male under 5, 1 male 5-10; 1 male 10-15; 1 female under 5; 1 fem 5-10; 1 female 20-30

Thomas Cox, 1 male 10-15> 2 males 10-15 ? 2 males 15-20; 1 male 50-60 or 40-50 (this has cross outs making it hard to figure; 1 female under 4; 1 female 5-10; f female 30-40; 1 female 50-60

Malone Cox; 1 male under 5; 2 males 5-10; 1 male 40-50; 1 female 5-10; 1 female 10-15; 1 female 20-30. I think the Malone is hard to read but all on same page...Image is number 130/144 appears to show above a Malone Cox, a guy named Amasa Lewis. This interests me as this is a man involved in the estate of Mirandy Clinton Malone of Gwinnett Co., Ga. (md.there in 1830). He lived in Gwinnett Co. Ga. up to 1858/9 when he moved to Clarke Co. Arkansas then. He died by Oct. 1860 and a John Hampton Malone was applying for guardianship of the orphans of Mirandy Clinton Malone by 1861/2 then he died.
John Hampton Malone is a descendant of a William Malone of Clarke Co., Georgia-his father was a Thomas B. Malone d. about 1848 or so in Nevada or Dallas Co., Arkansas. Wife, Winnifred Saffold he md. about 1812 or so in Morgan Co., Ga.

I think an Amasa Lewis was involved in the estate of Mirandy Clinton Malone somehow. Mirandy Clinton Malone was a sister of my husband's 4th great-grandmother-Artemissa Malone (both Mirandy Clinton and sister Artemissa born 1810/11 in likely area of Jackson Co., Georgia...but Mirandy md. 1830 in Gwinnett Co., Ga. was deputy sheriff for awhile. DNA of another Clarke Co., Georgia Malone named Peachy Brooks Malone suggests a kinship with our Mirandy Clinton Malone-Peachy Brooks Malone b. 1818 in Clarke Co., Ga. and his genealogy suggest he is r/to William Malone there...who had sister, Joicy Malone Hampton and niece, Joicy Hampton Cox (md. a Reuben Cox, son of Aris and Ruth (Box?) Cox. Joicy Malone Hampton was married to A John Hampton...RS. So-this explains more of my questions. Lucy Malone Chappell would be a niece of Joice Malone Hampton and William B. Malone...(father of Thomas B. Malone-and this William Malone was a Jr. Jr Malone (William Malone Jr.) wife was "a" Sarah Hampton by his father (William Sr.'s will) 1826 Clarke Co., Ga.
Part of Walton Co., Ga. was formed by Jackson Co. Georgia and some of Gwinnett (they really closely border all each other.

Your Great-great-great-grandfather
You left a note that Malone Cox is your 3rd great-grandfather. I am interested in your genealogy, especially since the surname is Malone since I am a big Malone researcher...and in the Murray Co., Georgia area =Murray Co., Georgia in 1808 was still indian territory-do you know where he originally was from. I have a Nancy Ann Caldenoia Cox, whose parents were Joicy Hampton and a Reuben Cox of Jackson Co., Georgia-her mother was a Joyce Malone.

Joyce Malone had a niece named Lucy Ann Malone Chappell-they lived in Whitfield/Murray Co., Ga.
She also had nephews by surname Hamilton who lived same area. I have extensive Malone research in Georgia (and the south, basically).
What can you tell me about this family and Malone Cox?
