I am researching my North Louisiana grandparents' surnames: MAY, MCBROOM, PLUNKETT, and ROWELL. Please let me know if you have any information to add to my memorials.|
Also, you are welcome to use and share the pictures I have posted on the memorials.

Doug, thank you so much for your information. I live in Florida, so I don't know when I'll get a chance to look on site. I will try to web site you recommended. Thank you. It's a thrill for me to see what you have uncovered and have shared.
God bless you. Alicia

I was surprised to see the addition to Mrs. Brown's Find A Grave site. (59544187). You have done a wonderful job getting that informa-tion. Would you tell me how I might find the obits on F. J. Moess and Charlie Moess. I found partials of each. Suzanne at the library in Minden was unable to help me. F. J. died in 1898 and Charlie in 1940, I think. I don't know what newspapers were active in those time periods.
Mrs. Brown was the aunt of my grandfather Robert W. Camp. I hope you have been able to find more on your family than last we communicated. I have West relatives in Laran Cemetery (Benjamin Franklin West) and several McBroom people were connected with his children.
Thank you for all your assistance over the years. I wish you well. Alicia West Myers

Thank you very much for transferring this memorial to me. I knew Harold Griggs personally as well as his brothers and many of his relatives!

Doug , do you know if the cemetery is still there?
the last time we were there in 1996 or so there was a consturction company next to the cemetery area, we went back and reported it to the library and they were supposed to report it to the officals. there was only a couple stones left and some markers Bells was a large stone upright I have pictures of it and the area we were in.
I have not been back since, so dont know what they did with the cemetery, did they bull doze it or did they fence it in, not sure what was happening out there.
Thank you for posting,
Thanks for the transfers

The Union Parish Library Newspaper Archives are all from the Farmerville Gazette. I'm now up to 1958 - it has been a wonderful read

Thank you! I'm sorry the quality isn't as I wish. The sun was in bad position and my time was short. Glad to be of help! Best wishes to you.
