Family history exploration for me begins with Ottawa Co, Kansas, but of course led across the country. An inheritor of several generations of newspaper clippings, I started transcribing obits from microfilm beginning at the 1879 start of the paper and realized the value of reading them all in understanding my family's history in the region. A sort of 'community-based genealogy' habit grew and expanded, as did an interest in cemetery preservation and recording. |
Living now in a rural Kentucky county, our local history goal is to locate the old family cemeteries up in the hills, photograph and record. Most are hidden and overgrown; some remarkably well looked after by landowners whether related or not. And several are out there yet to be found...
Am happy to transfer your relatives and happy to help in the hunt for them.

Thanks.............I thought it strange also. Looking for some people and nothing there! Do you know if Harrison County produces a cemetery book like Ritchie? Thanks again and good luck. MJA

Kate, It seems all the records that were started in that cemetery in West Milford are now gone on this site. I was thinking you did some work there.Nobody seems to know anything about it? Just asking .............I'm in Nebraska and can't just drive to it! Thanks MJA

Since I know from my mother's and eldest brothers DNA as well as what my maternal grandmother always told me I had it wrong.I know this because we didn't come from German people at least not in this part of my Family Tree.Anyway I was contacting you to let you know that I'm certain that Richard Knott was born in 1820 not 1819 since in his parents St. Mary's County,Maryland,USA US Census record for 1820 he wasn't born yet.

I see that you have several Ruby relatives. Are you related? Do you know who Charles's Father and mother was? I have a document, but it is confusing to me.
I am a descendant of Charles Ruby and Susannah Burns. Please help!!

Thank you for the transfer of Lola Tindal Lloyd. Have a great day.
Just wanted to say out loud that I really appreciate your transfer of the memorials for my 4th great-grandfather Stephen Titus and his son William Titus. Both are buried in Dotson Cemetery, Fountain Co., IN. Your work is greatly appreciated!

Ok. I found an antique picture of her and I am trying to locate family to see if they want the picture. I will keep searching.
