Well,I if I wanted your opinion I would have asked for it. I honor the man for his war service. Whatever was done afterwards does not erase his honorable record.

Our information, from an Ancestry tree, says both Elisha and Eli are buried at the Hogan Family Cemetery, In Clopton, Dale Co., AL. However, there is no such cemetery listed in Findagrave. Still it is possible that the cemetery exists and simply no one has created any memorials for those buried there. I will look further and let you know if I find more information.

I do not live near there, so I cannot search myself for the cemetery.

I did have your grandparents in my file, but I did not have any children or grands for them. If you have an online tree, I can find information there, but if not, I would love to have it from you. It is always good to share with "cousins."

Hello again Doug,
Thanks for adding the link to her husband.
Would you add her middle name, Green, please? The info is taken from an online copy of her actual marriage license to Lee McClenny where she is listed as Miss Oma Green Woodham.

Thanks again

Would you make the following changes to your memorial for Lee J. McClenny, please? I am not a relative, but I have been researching this family for months to find the links.
(1)Birthplace: Dale County, Alabama at Brannan Stand
(Brannan Stand is now located in Houston County. Houston County was formed Feb. 9, 1903 from parts of Dale, Geneva, and Henry Counties.)
(2)Death Place: Houston County, Alabama
from his SSDI
(3) Middle Name: Jefferson
from his WWI Draft Registration form.
(4) Links to parents: Father James Dalton McClenny #30526988 and Mother: Camella Jane "Janie" Baker McClenny #30527173
On the 1900 Census for Dale County, his birth month and year are listed as Aug. 1898. His parents are listed as Dalton and Janie McClenny.
On the 1910 Census for Newville, Henry County, Alabama he is also listed as the son of Dalton and Janie McClenny.
He married Miss Oma Green Woodham December 29, 1928 in Henry County, Alabama at the home of J. B. Kirkland. This info is taken from an online copy of the marriage license.
Thanks, Doug, I appreciate your help.
