Dear Sir, I just wanted to say a huge thank-you for photographing the headstone of James Henry New and for all the hard work you do. I can't express how much this has meant to our family including helping in researching our family history. The work you do is much appreciated. Thank-you once again.
|Annie Greene||Harold Thomas Mellings|
Hello. I am researching WW1 soldiers from Ludlow. Harold Thomas Mellings is one of them and is particularly special as he died so young and must have lied about his age to get into the RAF. I am intending to create a Book of Remembrance and would very much like to use the photograph you have of Harold.
If you would agree to my using the photograph, I would make sure that you ere acknowledged as the source of the photo.

Just found this site and the beautiful photo of my uncle Donald's grave...no one from our family has ever visited the cemetary...I am the last living direct relative... Uncle Donald was lost along with a sister (Nurse) a brother(artillery Corps)..he had one surviving brother that served in the Canadian Navy...all are gone now and I was able to find things about the family history.... the war was never spoken of and thus we know very little... It is comforting to see that he is in good hands ..at 70 yrs of age it is doubtful I will ever get there myself....thank you for your kindness and love... Donald G Chadbolt

Thank you for taking the photograph of Private William Douglas Tasker's grave.
It is a relief to see how beautiful his grave is taken care of, but also heart breaking for his final resting place to be so far from his home.
Thank you, your act of kindness has touched the lives of many in Canada.
|BobB||Hanover Military Cemetery|
Hi again Wouter,
I was at the Hanover Military Cemetery today and someone had stolen the two cemetery register books. I was just wondering - did you notice if the books were there a few weeks ago when you were there, or were they already gone then? I'd like to try to narrow this down. I've reported it to the CWGC and we'll see how long it takes them to replace them. It's too bad as now when taking photos of graves we can't confirm the plot numbers and other folks visiting can't find whom they're looking for.
Just thought you'd like to know.
Take care, BobB

nice to see your pictures from the Commonwealth War and Military cemeteries in Hannover. I was wondering if you noticed this one in your travels: Niederländisches Ehrenfeld Hanover. It was interesting to enter those.
Take care, regards,
