I've been working on my family tree since 1998 and I love this site. I think all this info should be free. After all it is our history!I'd like to transfer all the memorials that are not in my family so if you would like to manage one please put in a transfer. |
I am a photo volunteer for my area, and I am currently working on ?.

Higgins Chapel Cemetery
Bumpus Cove Cemetery
Martins Creek Cemetery

Keplinger AKA Cherry Grove Cemetery (Partial- cemetery is infested with bees, I will try to finish in the winter)

You are fast! I have added it.

Yes, I can do that. I tried to get it linked, but couldn't find how to do it. I thought there used to be instructions for it on the FAG site, but no luck.
I'm sorry, but I don't know how to attach the news article to Lillie's memorial.

I guess email will be OK. I assume you have a lot of text that you want me to add to the bio section of his memorial. Usually that can be sent via an SAC, but we can use email.
Are you at all related to Carolus, or are you interested in maintaining his memorial? If so, I can transfer it to you. Otherwise, go ahead and send me your additions. Thank you.

Thank you for showing your appreciation! It's not a "lost" cemetery, but it's a little tricky to access and it's getting overgrown.

Thank you for creating and processing updates for Norton family memorials !

Mattie was my grandmother; she lived in Erwin on the hill on Love Street. We visited her many times throughout my childhood. I am from Chicago. My mother was born and raised in Erwin until she moved away at age 20.
I am curious as to how and why you got the photos of her gravesite. There are two; why is that?
If you could contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org

I made an error Amanda, Mom was six years old when her mother Delie Bailey Hensley died, Mom Altha Mae Hensley Rice was born May 9, 1918. I don't know why I sad she was four. Edgar A. Rice

I really donít know about this. Mom had a brother that died in 1922 and I donít know his name, he is listed on his marker as ďInfant son of Henry Hensley.Ē He is buried in the old Bailey cemetery up on Rice creek.
This Harrison Hensley was born in Oct 17, 1920, Mom had a sister born in Oct. 8, 1920 Meda Hensley Honeycutt. Meda died two years ago Aug. 8 2015 at the age of 94.
The death certificate of Harrison Hensley lists his mother as Della Hensley and Momís mother was Delie Bailey Hensley and her husband was Henry Ellis Hensley. John Bailey was my Grandmothersí dadís name.
I did not know about Momís little brother until Gordon Edwards informed me about a year or so ago. He had taken a picture of the marker and created a memorial for him. He has since transferred management of the memorial to me to manage. I ask mom about it and she said that she indeed had a brother to die he was the last born of Henry and Delie Hensley. My grandmother Delie Hensley died in 1924. Mom was four years old at the time. I donít know if she remembers or just knew about it by hearing others conversation.
Grandma Delie did have two children before she married my Grandpa Henry, Thelma and Mary Bailey, the married brothers Ed and Dana Rice. Mary killed herself at the age of 17; she had two children at the time, Mae Rice Crain and Manley Rice.
I really donít think this is my uncle or grandmother. I have found the birth and death certificates in those days had lots of spelling and other errors on the. They spelled words the way it sounded. It is interesting though and thanks for bringing it to my attention.
My mom is 99 years old, I was with her Memorial Day which was her 100th Memorial Day and also on July 4th which was her 100th Independence Day on this earth. I am blessed.
Edgar A. Rice grandson of Henry & Delie Bailey Hensley.
