Regarding transfers: PLEASE read Find A Graves policy on transfers before you ask for a memorial to be transferred. We have found several memorials transferred to someone claiming to be a relative only to find nothing done with updating, or adding pertinent information. You can add photos. You can correct/add information. Use the edit button, or add photos button. Thank you.
We started out just two guys who have an interest in genealogy and old things.
One of us (Eric) has relatives at Multnomah Park, the other (David) is repaying a debt to genealogists who supplied him with a huge amount of information from Sweden.
We have listed most of the graves in this large public cemetery, which contains over 12,000 residents. We have not, and probably will not, list the most recent burials in the cemetery because of privacy concerns. The 'death' dates for people may be their burial dates. We are working off Metro's data base which gives the burial date of the deceased up until the 1970's.
The data base supplied to us by Metro, the current managing agency for Multnomah Park, has a lot amount of unknowns, and that's where the X's come in. IF you see an "X" in the plot information it means it is unknown in the data base that we have nearly finished transcribing and entering for all people to see and use. Note that Metro inherited the records from another agency who inherited them from a previous owner, who in turn inherited them from previous owners.
Check out Metro's webpage for Multnomah Park Cemetery: http://www.oregonmetro.gov/index.cfm/go/by.web/id=12692
If you have any information on any of the residents of Multnomah Park, please use the new correction on FindAGrave to let us know. It is much quicker and easier for us - and will get done sooner than the 'old' way.
Please make sure you have the right person, not just a person with the same name.
We have added some people to the Multnomah Park Cemetery online FAG database even though they do not appear in the online Metro Pioneer cemeteries database. We have done so because their death certificate and/or Oregonian funeral notice indicates they were buried there. The burial location will be noted as: "unknown - does not appear in cemetery records." These people may be buried elsewhere. We don't know, and the death certificate information is not always reliable.
We are making periodic trips to the state archives in Salem to make copies of Death Certificates. We do update information with data from the various death certificates - when we have the time. We have, but generally do not post the certificates on FAG. If you would like one please inquire. Driving an hour to Salem to copy documents in the state archives is beyond what is a normal volunteer activity - especially with the price of gas.
Thank you, David and Eric.

Multnomah Park Cemetery Helen Graves #48027319
I recently discovered my great-great grandparents are buried in Portland. I already have their daughters Urcella Graves-Boggs transferred. I would very much like to have Helen's site transferred to me. I have also requested her husband Julius John Graves transferred. Last year I added a little data to their sites and added the data to their daughter's whom only had dates. Actually I need to add more to hers since I recently found additional info. Thanks you for your consideration.

I want to apologize for marking your request as an error, since I could not find any record of "Arthur Terho" in the Greenwood Hills index. By accident, and with great surprise I found him listed in Section 10, Lot 212, Grave 4. I have since upload that record to his profile.
I am planning on going through each Section Catalog for Greenwood Hills and try and find your other requests, since I now know the master index is faulty.
