Updated: February 2015, I live in DeKalb Co., AL. I have surveyed and took pictures of cemeteries in Dekalb and part of Jackson county, Alabama. I have added memorials from other states using online surveys. If you see any memorials of family or friends that I have added I will be happy to transfer, just send me a transfer request. I'll transfer as long as their not a relative or friend. If you see any mistakes that I've made let me know so I can correct them. When I know additional information, like nicknames, middle & maiden names that are not listed on the tombstone I will list the information on the find a grave memorial. If anyone knows additional information that I have not added you can send it in the edit section and I'll add the info. But if someone see's a memorial of one of their relatives and want's me to remove the info I will. If anybody has a question about a cemetery around this area or a memeorial that I've added just email me and I'll gladly help the best I can. |
My main Family tree surnames are: Brooks, Robertson, Garner, Jones, Elliott and Dean.

Thanks again for the transfers of my family. I think I may be getting close to finished although there are many more at Unity, but I'm having a hard time finding out how they are kin.
I thank-you so very much. I couldn't remember if I had placed my family connection or not Sum-timers
I suspect on my part. LOL

Thanks Jamie, but I don't think the death date for Elijah Jacob is correct because I found this family last in Marshall County in 1900. Besides according to cemetery records the first burial wasn't until 1895. But this is the correct family. It never dawned on me to look who was buried near them.

I was wondering if you have anything on a Jacob Elijah Brooks & Elizabeth Ann Brooks. I added memorials for them last summer from cemetery records. All I know is their names and where they're buried (unmarked). They are buried next to each other. I don't know if they're husband and wife or children. Just thought you might know something about them.

Yea, I did Sulphur Springs last summer and saw some that Douglas took photos of 5 years ago. They were real clear then but they're unreadable now. I'm having a hard time with Liberty. There are 25 memorials on Find A Grave that are in the wrong place. Got five moved and no response on the others. I still have to add the photos for the ones that are there.

Thanks for letting me know. You should have said something sooner, I would have come out there and kept you company. I'm working on Liberty in Henagar. Big mess. If I can be of some help, let me know.

That's fine Just thought they might be a family member and had some inside information. I have a picture of my Mom who would be his granddaughter standing on a spot that family says is his grave site and it is at another small cemetery. Just trying to get all info so I can be sure. Thank You!

Thanks again for the transfer of him to me, but on the memorial it stated he was in an unmarked grave and info was from a BR Moore. Could you tell me who this is? I would like to communicate with them about where they got the info. Also how did you determine he was buried in Shiloh Cemetery? Per family member, he is in an unmarked grave, but at another cemetery. Just trying to make sure he is in the correct cemetery and see if this person may know some family info that I could use. Thanks for your help.

I wish the photo could have been better but the inscription of the marker is very hard to read. Hope you can read it, if not please let me know and I will take a camera out there and try to clean it up a little and photograph it. Just let me know what you think. Thanks
Thanks so much for the transfers of my family members!
