I have been working on genealogy for about 15 years now and still considered young by most. Up till 2011 I would go searching in overgrown cemeteries and take as many pictures as I could. I would get ticks and chiggers. At the end of August. During my graveyard hopping in Germany I ended up with Lyme disease. Be safe all of my other Graveyard hoppers out there!|
I am also on Ancestry and I am a huge believer in sharing and willing to share as long as you are also willing to share with others.
My extra work on FindAGrave is to find the maiden names of the many women out there. Working on genealogy allows me to do this and to connect them with their parents or siblings. I love doing it.
Also, if you are a Baugher please come and find all of the cousins on FB...https://www.facebook.com/groups/42259240950/ It is called The Baugher Family Heritage Group.
The Millikan/Milligan group is just starting up...unless you know of one already going on (let me if know if so) is https://www.facebook.com/groups/MillikanFamily/

Hello Debra, I am researching the Howlett family tree for my partner who is a direct descendant of Fannie Howlett. I saw your post from many years back wanting more information on Rebeccaīs relationship with John (father) Thomas (son) Howlett. The Freedman Bureau has documents which suggest that Thomas Howlett was the father of 5-6 children- certainly Wilson and Geo claim that he is their father. Thomas included all the children in his will, although the court ruled that negroes could not own property and were supposed to be given compensation and sent to Ohio when the Civil War broke out.
Fannie is proving to be a mystery to me, as she appears in Thomasīs will, but in Johnīs will she is replaced by "Eliza" and in other documents there is an Eliza instead of "Fanny". Also I canīt see who the father of her children are...except her son Collin states it is a Thomas Howlett (but Fannieīs father was already deceased long before he was born). In the 1910 census she is declared as a widow, then marries Philmore Davis.
Sorry to bombard you with info. that you probably know anyway! I am in the midst of papers, trying to put the puzzle together!! I would love to hear from you at some point. Happy hunting!

|The Tanners||Flarence/Florence Cummins|
I received your edit for Mrs. Cummins and wanted to double check the spelling of her first name. Her stone has it listed as Flarence. Her obit lists it as Florence. It appears if she was buying a stone, she would spell her name correctly.
I'll be happy to change the spelling if you know for sure her name was "Florence".

I was so glad to see she was on FindAGrave. I saw the article about her, sure hope they can find her family.
You made 2, #163915182 is a duplicate. Also they're were repeats on your paragraphs, just thought you'd want to know.
Thanks for all the work you do.

Would you please merge Polly Houser with her actual family work? That number is : 65175451. Her actual name is Mary Ann Berry - Houser
Back then they called most woman by the name of Mary "Polly".

When I go grave-hopping with my camera, I also (usually) take along a pocket pruning shears [http://www.staples.com/Gilmour-18T-Pruning-Shears-with-Steel-Handle/product_1259467].
Comes in handy quite often.

I was able to find a grave for William Thomas Baugher, but I'm not sure it's the same person since there are no dates to help confirm. The headstone reads:
William Thomas Baugher
A1C US Air Force
10 JAN 1932 to 28 MAR 1999
I'll be glad to forward the picture to you separately, or if you can confirm dates I'll be glad to upload the photo to his memorial.
