Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have put a great deal of time into creating many of these memorials. I am continually researching the memorials that I've created and often find more tidbits of information to add. If you have anything you'd like added, let me know.

Please read the Find a Grave policy to see whether your request qualifies a transfer. If it falls within the guidelines, then, please use the EDIT button on the top right of the person's memorial page when you want to request a transfer since it provides me with the link to that memorial.

Any non-direct relatives (aunts, uncles, cousins, etc.) will not be transferred. The goal is not to "own" every memorial of those to whom you are related. The ultimate goal should be to have meaningful, accurate memorials that honor those who have passed away, regardless of who created the memorial or who maintains it.

I am more than happy to have anyone add their personal photos of people on a memorial. However, I discourage adding death certificates and genealogy material in printed form out of a book.

RE: Gravestone of Rickart ancestor
Thank you Donna. You and I think alike. If I were doing grave photos I would want them to be shared and used.

When we were at a cemetery in West Plains, Missouri in the mid 1990s. The head cemetery person suggested that we go buy a box of corn starch and lightly pat it into the indentions (name/date, etc.) then take a cloth and gently brush off the excess outside of the indentions. That really made the name/date, etc. stand out for photographs.

He also said it doesn't scrape like chalk does.

My husband, a PhD research chemist said that Corn Starch won't interact with the stone or anything on the stone. And it will dissolve and wash away in the first rain.

I haven't seen this suggested much in gravestone photo how-to,

Donna: I think I forgot to ask what restrictions you would have on me sharing your photos of Delilah's gravestone.

Could I have permission to share it with family? Or with fellow Rickart researchers (which unfortunately are few and far between).

I won't need to put a photo on Delilah's page on the mormon Family Search tree or my tree on Ancestry since they both have links to Find A Grave.

Thank you.

Gravestone of ancestor
Could I have your permission to download the photo you have posted of the gravestone of my husband's ancestor Delilah Crooks / Mrs. Jacob Rickart in White Hall Cemetery, Greene Co., IL?

E.C. Moore
Donna,

Edward Custer, or E.C. as we knew him, was my paternal grandfather. I remember he always had bubble gum in his pocket for me when I would climb up and sit in his lap so I could reach in to the pocket and get the gum. He was very funny as well. My father died a couple of months ago and I am trying to piece together things before everyone is gone and I can't find them anymore. I would appreciate you transferring his page to me so I can add things and maintain it for my family. Thank you!

Maxine Barnes is my cousin. I added the picture of her marker. She was married to Jessie Barnes and I wonder if you are related. I have been unable to find any information about him. If I remember correctly she died as a result of an auto accident.
Thank you for your time.

Thank you very much for transferring the memorial for my great grandfather to me. I appreciate all the work that you put into your memorials. It shows how much passion you have for honoring those who have gone before us.
