Pleased you left me a message, I have made an error.
Re William Booth at Southwell Minster ( St Mary's) I checked the churchyard only and did not notice the plot was inside the church.
Could you please reinstate your request and I will go over to Southwell and look inside the church
|Daniel Moran||ELIZABETH BURSON|
Ms. Rutledge: I went in search of Elizabeth Burson's grave last Sunday evening and was fortunate enough to run into the church pastor there as well as a couple other church members who have helped me understand the cemetery a bit better. The cemetery records are still trying to be compiled, I guess they've been scattered over the years. The 19th century graves are mostly just plain unmarked stones of which the pastor tells me are mostly black slave graves dating back to the Civil War. Unfortunately, I was unable to find Elizabeth Burson and the records being incomplete no one could confirm where her head stone may be. Only those buried during the 20th Century have appropriate headstones to them. I'm very sorry.

You are so welcome. Sorry there was no headstone to show you but one was never placed. I wanted to at least show you where he is resting.
