Bio and Links
Bio Photo I started researching my husband's family several years ago when we "inherited" all the photos, newspaper clippings, wedding invitations, etc. that his grandmother had kept. I didn't want to throw it all out because it was a lifetime of memories and keepsakes so I began to organize it on a genealogy database. Then I was "hooked"!

I accidently stumbled onto my cousin's posting on a message board while I was searching for information on MY family and this thing just took on a life of it's own.

I volunteered to take photos for Find-a-Grave after I requested and received some for my postings. It was so exciting to see the stones that I thought it would be nice to reciprocate. I also think I have a "sixth sense" or the deceased just "call to me" because since I started taking photos, I've been to cemeteries that I've never been to and I just seem to be able to walk right up to the grave! I've done it almost every time!

If I have posted something incorrectly or if I have posted something you feel is inappropriate, please email me or leave a message and I will correct it.

I am not related to any of the postings for Mifflin County, PA so I will gladly transfer memorials to a family member, no matter how distant. PLEASE USE THE EDIT TAB AT THE MEMORIAL TO MAKE THE TRANSFER REQUEST. It's much easier that way and all the necessary information is there.

Any photos I post here are free to be used by anyone. If you do not want me to use your photos, please do not claim my requests.

RE: Krape Edits
Thank you. You got credit for your work in the biography. My original source was probably an Ancestry Family Tree and the owner probably did not want to display the information. I know this from personal experience. A relative had false information in an obituary to hide the fact.--Storres

Krape Edits

Thank you for the information. Please do not upload the image of the certificate to the memorial, the family would object to it.--Storres

I'm not familiar with what you mean by taking over this sites.
I would be happy to do it.
My father Robert Van Zandt is buried in Newton Hamilton
As is my grand father Harry Moorhead Van Zandt.
These two sites you just sent- Sidney Malida Criswell Van Zandt and George M. Van Zandt are Harry's Parents and my Great Grand Parents. My Great , Great Grand Parents should be there.
Also George Van Zandt. My - 5th great grandfather who fought in the Revolutionary War is buried near by. His father Isaiah' fought in the French and Indian.
I would love to know more about the Van Zandt connections to The Newton Hamilton Area.
Are there any local historians who could help me?. What would be a good local source of records?
I've read a lot about Harry in the Harrisburg newspapers.--
Thank you for your kid attention

RE: Amey Infant
Hi Mona,
There are three babies buried here. All three dates are listed on the marker so I posted the same picture to all three memorials. If you look above the three children on Jesus's lap, you will see the date of 4-1-88 that's the date for this baby. Below the children is the date 4-25-85 for another baby and Faith Rose is Oct. 10, 1989.
Thank you for keeping an eye out for my mistakes. I tend to post things while watching TV of an evening and don't know of the mistake until someone lets me know.

Yeagertown Luthern Cemetery
Mona, Would you happen to know if there were records kept for burials in this cemetery? I am trying to find parents of a family, but cannot find records. Most of the children are buried in Yeagertown so one would assume that the parents are there too. But no headstones have turned up and nothing for Death certificates. So my next option of research would be burial records.

Thanks so much!

RE: Edward Kepple
I do through the Yerians who married with Kepples. But that is more remote than your connection. If you would like to manage any of my memorials, let me know. I really appreciate all the help you have given me over a long time now.
