Hello everyone from Monticello, Wayne Co, Kentucky. Well as of this month Sharon Brown and I are working to get every cemetery name and the names of the people of Monticello, Wayne Co, Ky into Find A Grave. We both are adding names and I'm taken pix to be added as we go a long the list. We are about 99.9 done with Alexander Cemetery and now have started Elk Spring Cemetery. If there is anyone that would like to help please let me know. If I can get someone else to help add names then that would give me more time to get out there and get the pix that is needed. I must thank Sharon Brown for all the hard work she has given me. This lady doesn't or has never lived in Monticello but she has jumped right in and helped so much. THANK YOU SHARON. With out her help I would not had gotten as far as I have. I started something to help others and made a dear friend because of it. Our friendship will not stop when this is done. We will be friends for life. Oh, I also have to thank Joan Frey. This lady has taken over working on my family tree so I can give Find A Grave all of my free time. What a sweet lady. Yes, our friendship will be forever also. Joan is the lady that got me into Find A Grave. THANK YOU JOAN. Love you all lady's. |
ANYONE MAY USE MY PIC AS LONG AS YOU DON'T SALE THEM. I DO THIS FOR FREE AND I WANT TO KEEP MY WORK THAT WAY. NO COPYING FOR BOOKS OR SALE.

|Carl Catherman||Virgil Anderson|
On Nov. 8 I sent a short bio to be added to Virgil's memorial. Did you receive it?
|Mary Johnson||Mary B. Lowenstein|
First I want to thank you and your team for doing what you are doing for Findagrave.com. My family is from the Wayne County area and I have just moved here from Alabama. I am in the middle of research for my genealogy. Would you like a little more information to put with your post on my grandmother Mary B. Lowenstein? I could fill in the parents and childrens names. Like Lowenstein was from her second marriage. Her first marriage was to James Johnson from Vinny/Faubush, Kentucky area. Just wondering.

How did you get this photo?!!
It is a real treasure.
I am doing some research for my cousin.
This is her father's side of the family.
I am not related to the Simpson side through blood. I am related through marriage.
|Kathy Smith||Cora V Auten|
I see that you now maintain the memorial for Cora V Auten, after its creation by Carl. I requested a photo for her because I come from the Auten line in Ohio and Marshall Counties in WV, though I'd never done any research on Cora. The volunteer said that there's no record for her in Greenlawn Cemetery. So, I did some searching on ancestry.com and wvculture for her. I can't find any birth, marriage, death, or census record for her. Would you mind sharing any documentation you have for her, because as far as I'm able to tell, there is none. Yikes!
Thanks very much,
|Tony Carrender||AWESOME SITE|
Thank you for a awesome site. My last name is CARRENDER and the only people I have ever met were in my immediate family. After viewing this site, I have found a ton of people with the same last name. My grandfathers side of the family is from Somerset, KY. Having never lived there myself, I never really met any relatives from there. Would be interested to see if we are related to anyone on here.
|LSJRJT||Pulaski County KY Jones Surname|
Pulaski County KY Jones Surname
I am trying to find my oldest-known grandfather’s grave. I’ll call him “Father Jones”. It is reported that he died in Pulaski County, Kentucky. I cannot find a grave or any records on him. If you have any information on him or know of someone I can contact, please let me know!!
Father Jones had four sons; Alexander, James, Robert, William and Thomas. Thomas was the only one born in Pulaski County around 1800. Father Jones died between Thomas’ birth and the War of 1812. It is stated that Father Jones died prior to his son Robert joining the War of 1812.
Any help that anyone can provide would be GREATLY appreciated!!

you took pictures of his wifes grave and put her stone on Deweys site. Does he not have a stone or do you remember?
I am doing research for my daughter in law and Deweys mother had 16 children and he is one of them.
If you dont remember I will put in a request for his stone
|Diana Davis-Marshall||William Alexander|
Thank you for the photo.
Wondering why the death date isn't engraved...I hope my record is right, now. The birth date is corrected. Thanks again.
|Anna Schultheis Bertram||Nota Bertram|
REGINA, THIS US A THIRD REQUEST!
Please detach Nota (born 1912) as a child of Addie Jane Cross Bertram (born 1919). It is clearly impossible for a child to be born 7 years before its mother!!! You have the wrong Addie! This Addie is white. Nota was black so I assume her mother was as well. At least that is what her granddaughter told me.

In doing some other research, I ran across this memorial and noticed that the link for Emily's mother is wrong. She was the daughter of Nellie Cullum Goddard (and she was the sister of my greatgrandmother Gertie Goddard) but the link shows her mother as Nellie Christian.
Can you correct this?
