My name is Diana Baldwin Hamby. I was born in Idaho and now live in Alabama. I have considered myself a genealogy "junkie" for several years now. Always digging for new info on beloved family members that have passed this way. I am especially interested in the "stories" of each one, especially any stories to do with the military (as I was in the Navy myself) and anything to do with the Civil War since my husband, children and I all participate in Civil War re-enactments. I will do my best to help anyone with any of the information I have.

Re: James Jess Taylor
Thank you for the information. I added the photo to the 82707180 memorial and deleted mine.

Powell Cemetery
Hi Diana - Thank you for posting the picture of Mary Powell Nelsonís headstone. Is the Powell Cemetery easily accessible? Can you tell me where it is located in relation to Orr Park in Montevallo? Thanks.

Joseph Quiner/Quinn photo request
Listed by Shiloh Natoinal Cemetery as "Joseph C. Quinn," the specific grave of this soldier is not known. Graves of unidentified remains are marked by one of two styles of markers. I've added photos of both styles to Joseph's memorial.

No I don't think so, I haven't found any Spencer's in my tree. Are you related to the Spencer's in Orofino?
Thanks for transferring my Dad.

Kent family of alabama
Hello Diana,

Are you part of the Kent family of Alabama? I am working on the family tree and that is my husband's cousin's tree. I am mostly curious because you have so many Kents... on your site.

I do have info on Sarah Goble's family. It may be the same as you have but comparing data is always a good idea.
