I have been doing family research for over 30 years. My families are Orbin, Collins, Tiller, Miles, Smith, Swallow, Hill, Schunk, Keown/Cowan/Cowen, Grable, Haney, Hines, Howard, Riley, Lee, Leatherman. I am also doing my husbands side Neeson, Brooks, Beamer, Herring/Herron, Carman, Egglestone, Vincent, Sanders, and so many others. I was born in Macon, Missouri and lived there till I was 10. Then we moved to Columbia and then moved to Bevier when I was 13. I have several family members still in Macon, Bevier, Kaseyville and all over Macon County.|
I have been interested in my family for as long as can remember. The Titanic has always been a special interest of mine and as a child I discovered that my Grandma Mae and Grandpa Smith were alive when this happened all of a suddenly history became real and not a story so I started my family research. My Grandpa Smith wanted to know about his father's and mother's family so I began digging. The joy on my Grandpa's face when I found something new still keeps me looking after his death hoping to bring joy to someone else searching for family.
I do find a grave so family members can find each other. No one deserves to be forgotten.
Any photo I take of headstones can be used by anyone who is doing a family project.

Penny thanks for responding. Yes please make transfer. Hannah Martin was my Great Aunt, one of thirteen children. I've located Hannah finally with some family paperwork ( married names ) still searching for her sister Mollie Martin Shirley. I'm new to F.A.G. its a perfect site to find family final resting places.
Thanks again, Robert Martin.

Thanks for the transfer. I put a link on each memorial, to the other. Should work.
(You're not nuts, things like that are just normal for me.) :-)

Than you so much for doing this.
I greatly appreciate the work that you and others do on Find A Grave. I have been able to find family members that I thought I would never find.

My name is Robert Martin. Richard was my Great Uncle. Would you consider transferring memorial maintenance over to me. Thanks so much, hope to hear from you.

James M Bagby
|Virginia Brown||Orbin Wrinker Hayse|
Thank you very much for the transfer of Orbin's memorial. Like you, I don't know how he got his name. His brother, Quincy, married Zeura Self, who also had a brother by the name of Orbin. I have always wondered about his name, too. It must have been a popular name back then. :-)
I sincerely appreciate the opportunity to add information to Orbin's memorial. You are tops!
|K. Stewart||Harriett Stewart Engle|
On Find A Grave Memorial# 128119085, for Harriett Engle Stewart, I need to submit a few corrections.
James Stewart and Mary Stewart, listed on the stone together, were man and wife. Mary's maiden name was Mary Catherine Walden.
Harriett Engle, also listed with James and Mary on the same stone, was James' sister. She was married to Henry Engle, thus her correct name should be Harriett Stewart Engle, not Harriett Engle Stewart. I don't know why Henry isn't buried there, as I don't know any more about their marriage, but I can surmise that perhaps he died elsewhere and she went to live with her brother and sister-in-law and was thus unable to be buried beside Henry.
If you could correct the name at the top of Harriett's memorial, I would be most appreciative.
With best regards,
(Harriett was my Half 2nd Great Aunt)
