Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am a retired Navy Command Master Chief with 22 years of Service including 2 tours in-country Vietnam and 1 in Desert Shield/Desert Storm. Most of my career was in helicopter Search & Rescue.
I was attached to Helicopter Attack (Light) Squadron Three, HA(L)-3, in Vietnam 1970-1972, and NAS Whidbey Island SAR 1974-1977 & 1980-1984, among other duty stations, and have been trying to track down the rest of the guys who were there. Unfortunately, I find way too many of them with this "Find A Grave" search feature.

Any photos I take for Find A Grave, I do not claim as exclusive or copyrighted and anyone can copy and use the photos for whatever purpose you desire except to "Photoshop" in such a way as to slander or disrespect. Dan

Hi Dan,
Memorial info is correct according to the Veterans National Gravesite Locator. Not sure why headstone has 'C' for middle initial.

RE: Grave Photos for John Howard Kennedy
Hello Dan,
The other names inscribed on the back of the Woodruff headstone, along with the Kennedys, are Ruth's brothers and their wives: Gerald & Martha Woodruff and Dr. Raymond & Geraldine Woodruff. If the info for Mount Albion Cemetery on the Rootsweb site is correct, John Howard was cremated. So were Gerald, Martha, and Geraldine. Not sure about the others.
Bye for now,
Karen

RE: Request Transfer of 2 Memorials
Your request for the transfer of 3rd cousins once removed is way out of the guidelines for Find A Grave transfers. I don't even ask for Aunts, Uncles, or 1st cousins.

Transfer requests should be for direct relatives only within four generations. This would be your siblings, parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Non-direct relatives relatives such as aunts, uncles, cousins and beyond are not required transfers. Those are the Find A Grave guidelines and I follow them. Thanks for your cooperation.

Mr. Arnes,
In searching for this cemetery, I visited with the widow of Mr. Lilly. She related that Mr. Lilly was cremated and a stone was placed in the Sharon Cemetery in Wood County. She stated there was not a Lilly Family Cemetery.

RE: Robert Dale Ponsler
Just looked at the photo. See what you mean. It looks like a 19 but is actually a bleep in my "retouching" the photo which I missed. Sometimes when I have that little "circle" to edit it copies when I click on grass & black spots on the stone to try to make it nicer. I missed trying to get rid of that one.
