Genealogy is one of my passions. I have been helped by countless volunteers and am always looking for ways to repay that generosity. Findagrave is a perfect outlet for that. Thank you, to all my fellow F.A.G. contributors, for making this site what it is :) |
This is my volunteer profile. The overwhelming majority of the memorials that I manage through the profile you are reading right now, are not my family. If you are related to anyone among my managed memorials, and wish to manage the memorial yourself, please send me a SAC request (last option listed) or post a message to this page, and I will most likely transfer. For my own family, I have created a seperate profile (Bartran-Lee Family, #48769236) for the sole purpose of managing the memorials of my direct ancestors.
I live within walking distance from Bellerive Cemetery (fka Hiram Cemetery), and walking up and down the rows is where most of my memorials and photographs come from. Most of the grave markers in Bellerive are flat, so it's great exercise to search for someone's marker, which allows my genealogy obsession to have multiple benefits.
I want every memorial I have added to contain the most complete and accurate information available. I also strive to protect the privacy of the living. If there is not a death date apparent on a grave marker, and the individual would be younger than 110 years, I will NOT add a memorial for that person, unless I am able to locate an obituary or other documented proof that the person is deceased. Bellerive Cemetery does have a number of pre-need markers placed. If a marker contains at least one person's information with a death date, I will add a memorial for only the deceased. I will not edit the photograph to remove any living person's information.
Have fun, and be safe out there!

I added an updated picture for Fern (2671661) that has her husband on the headstone.
|Joe Lerch||Stan Musial|
I was over at Bellerive Cemetery this morning and went in the Mausoleum to see if Stan Musial and his wife were moved. I used the picture Connie Nisinger to find where they were located. And the marble cover is now blank and it is a lighter color than the surrounding marble. Now I know whey there is a big monument outside. I was going to contact Connie to see if she wants to delete her pictures and I can load mine if everybody is ok with that.

Thank you so much for the photo of Paul and Hester's gravestone. It's sometimes tough to get a good photo with all the shadows around, but you did a good job. Really appreciate your efforts on my behalf.

Claire, take the road off of Acacia Dr to the left of the mausoleum, down at the end with the loop next to a pond. If you face the side of the mausoleum there are a couple of grave sites that have stone walkways, his site is in the middle, not far off the road. It is pretty big. Good luck, Joe
PS - some of the sites in the cemetery database have pictures. I only use them to help find a site. I take my own. I don't want to tread on copyright issues. You can tell the cemetery takes them when they install the headstone. No grass and I have seen the equipment in the background.
Claire, I also like walking cemeteries and filling in photos for those that do not have them. With Fall underway and the golf season over, I have started me fall/winter projects. I also use a spreadsheet sorted by section and walk it when there is a nice day. I don't want to duplicate any work you are doing so if I start getting in your way, just let me know. Thanks,
|Joe Lerch||Stan Musial|
I see your picture for Stan Musial and his wife in the Mausoleum. I also see a large head stone outside. Do you know why there are two? Just curious. Joe Lerch

My fingers hit the send button before I was ready.
The memorial is for Elmer C. Lynam.
Sorry for the mistake,
|Joe Lerch||Elmer C. Lanam, #140431176|
See the photo I just added. His year of birth on the headstone is 1890. Your record has year of 1880. Also, the cemetery now has a look up function on their web page.
Thanks, Joe Lerch
